Well, I was waiting for my granddaughter to be given to me because for me she was my granddaughter, not a pet. To put the review in this place I am going to give 4 stars and it is not because of the veterinarians, it is because of the staff they have working in front. We were very hurt by the loss of our girl and these 2 women who work at the front made fun of our pain, the one who is pregnant was very kind and helpful but the one with blonde hair and the one with black hair were very unpleasant I hope that when a family member dies there will be people Let them make fun of your pain because a little animal suffers the same as a person to say they suffer more because they cannot speak. And you ignorant women without professional ethics and without feelings if you do not have love for animals you should NOT work for veterinarians. Give them thanks Thank God they didn't have their names on their uniforms. Uniforms that they should NOT wear because they are ignorant and have a heart of stone. They are both incompetent and good for nothing and they are disgusting, hateful and Bulgarian women.

One of our dogs has been having trouble keeping any food down for a few days, then last night she started to have some swelling. We managed it through the night and planned to get her with our vet in the morning. Our regular vet was closed without any sort of notice online or otherwise. We called 7 vets and VCA was the only one able to squeeze us in. They were kind and compassionate and didn’t make us feel like we were an inconvenience, even though I’m sure it caused some chaos to their packed schedule for the day. They ran tests on our girl to rule somethings out, gave her fluids since she was dehydrated some, and gave us some meds and a plan to go through the weekend. We now have some peace of mind and hoping our girl keeps heading in the right direction. Beyond grateful for the staff and the generosity they showed us today. I will definitely be taking my dogs here from now on.

Nothing less or I would definitely give it to them. Took my kitten in after he was treated for upper respiratory infection and he was getting better. Didn't really want to get his shot with this second appointment but I did. The vet was very heavy handed and the 2nd shot made my little guy jump and howl. So the next day I called and told them that he was lethargic and couldn't stand or walk. Not eating or drinking . I was told to keep an eye on him but that it was like a reaction and he would be OK. Later on he started throwing up so I called them back but he passed before anyone got back to me. Then they told me to bring him in and he was already gone and I told them so. They kept telling me to bring him in but all I could do was tell them it was they're fault they should have seen him earlier.

The north country vca has been my pets vet for a little over 4 years and the whole time they were amazing at treating and diagnosing any ailments my pets were having. They were incredibly helpful when we were planning to move to HI, they helped walk me through the process and helped me get all my paperwork together to move. I recommend this vet to my friends and everyone in Watertown who wants great reliable care.

If I could give a score less than one I would! We we're not clients, it was a Saturday afternoon and we . were visiting a relative from out of town. We lived 3 hours away. My dog had a seizure and collapsed and this was the only vet open within two hours from where we were. I pleaded with someone to just come and take a look at him so they could tell me if maybe he was having an allergic reaction to something or if it was something worse. They came out and said they needed to take a picture of his gums which they did. At that point they should have told us that something was severely wrong and he was probably bleeding internally because what had happened were classic signs. His gums were white and he was panting and he was kind of lethargic. They turned us away without giving us a clue what was wrong and we had to drive 3 hours home with our dying dog in the back of the car. I called my vet on the way home and was assured that I could bring him right in. They scooped him up brought him inside took a quick blood test and told me the bad news they believed that a tumor had ruptured inside of him and he was bleeding internally and we needed to help him pass. We gladly put him out of his suffering this dog was way too much of an Angel to ever let him suffer for one second! I believe that North Country Hospital could have very easily taken the time to put him out of his misery right then and there instead of making my poor baby suffer for 3 hours. This vet is very inhumane!!! Does not care about dogs at all!!Just my experience with them but I would never ever recommend this vet to anyone

This Vet is INHUMANE!!!!! We took our dog here on a Saturday. They were the only vet open withn 2 hours. We were visiting a relative from out of town, we lived 3 hours away. My dog had collapsed and had a seizure. We had NO idea what was wrong with him. He was in the back of our car and couldn't get up. We pleaded with someone to come out and just take a look at him and tell us what may be the issue. They said I'm sorry we don't take walk ins. I explained that we lived 3 hours away and they didnt care. After about 10 minutes they came out and took a picture of my dogs gums. Then another came out 5 mins after and said " we cant help you, you should take him to his vet. 3 HOURS AWAY!! When we arrived at our Vet, they scooped him up, did a 3min blood test and gave us the news that our baby was passing. He had a ruptured tumor and was bleeding internally. Nothing anyone could have done, he was 12 and it was just his time. This Vet could have done this quick test and put him down then and there instead of making this incredible dog suffer for 3 HOURS dying in the back of car. DON"T take your dog here. They dont care about animals!!!

Greedy…take advantage of putting a pet to sleep. Had my 15 yo cat that was sick and was examined and treated 2 weeks prior to making the determination to euthanize. Brought him in to be euthanized. No exam was performed because nothing further was going to be done. Got the bill and noticed a $64 exam fee. There was no exam performed unless you count the vet saying yes he looks worse and you are making the right decision…that was $64. It cost $200 to have my cat put to sleep. It didn’t take an exam to determine the course of action. I will pay your exam fee, you are greedy. Look at the cost breakdown for their charges. RIP Orange.

wow! amazing staff, very kind and compassionate. I had never been here before but after an emergency visit with one of my ferrets they were more than helpful. Very quick and very easy to get him seen immediately. Love them and can’t wait to be back for annual checkups!!

I brought a kitten I found at work in a barn that was barely breathing. I handed him over and told them I wasn't sure if he was going to make it. The secretary's first question was "do you want to pay for CPR?" I told her to try to save him and then we can talk about what I'll have to pay for. I get a snarky "Well when you bring a stray in we expect you to take financial responsibility". I told her what if I can't pay? "Well we'll humanely euthanize it". I replied "you're going to jump right to that?!". The doctor came out right after and said the kitten had passed. To think they would hold off on performing simple CPR until I agreed to pay for it, something which would've taken a couple of minutes and the cat's life depended on getting treated as fast as possible is outrageous itself, but the cold attitude from the desk was more becoming of someone working at a slaughterhouse, not a vet clinic. I could tell the other staff and patients were appalled. I then said I have the kitten's sibling here that I want to get checked out, especially because I have a cat at home that I don't want to risk bringing anything contagious to. I was told they are too busy and to try somewhere else. I then asked if she has any tips for caring for a kitten so young (about 1 month), and she says "no he needs to be seen by a doctor". Nothing about what to feed him or a good way to keep them separated while I work on getting him an appointment. I leave work to care for these kittens responsibly and bring them to the vet to try to save the one and I get treated as though I should've just left them to die. This is not indicative of the whole staff but unfortunately this one incident has destroyed my respect for this establishment and this employee is to blame. I can't remember her name but she has no business working in a vet clinic with the her blatant disregard and lack of compassion.

AWFUL!!!! I went in as an emergency basis for my dogs tail. I thought it was a sprain or break. No. They wanted to run bloodwork and tests on her because she wasn’t up to date with Lyme disease vaccine. Not a care in the world about her tail! Not even a X-ray, they brought her to the back and did their apparent exam. They had to put a muzzle on her and she’s never had one on or even nipped at anyone. They tried getting me to buy the tick and flea collar at the desk, which I already said no thank you I buy my own, he still asked! They push money and buying care plans, items, unnecessary tests and what not. They were concerned about my harness on my dog and how they don’t like it and my dogs weight. I WAS THERE FOR MY DOGS TAIL. She was anxious to begin with, they were rude and unprofessional! The receptionists (if that’s what you want to call them) were rude and unprofessional! The one at the end needs an attitude check or a training in customer service bc she was awful! I will NEVER step foot in this dump again!

I can not say enough good things!!! Our dog had hurt his neck and we were so worried. We tried every single vet we could find in St. Lawerence County including our regular vet and no one would see him yesterday. I called North Country Animal Hospital and they were amazing! They saw him the same day, and took great care of our boy. THANK YOU!!

VCA North County Animal Hospital had been amazing! All the staff and doctors have always been great with my dog. You really can not ask for a better group of professionals to work with. Been going to VCA for at least 6 years and every single interaction was wonderful. I had medication to pick up monthly and they always made it easy and provided it all with a smile.

I would not recommend this clinic, especially if you have small/exotic pets. It is a shame because there aren’t many choices in this area and I had read good reviews of VCA. I brought my ferrets in and had to wait almost an hour past my appointment time to be seen. When I was finally seen, the doctor was condescending, brisk, and did not give me an opportunity to ask questions. She then sent me to the lobby to wait while my ferrets were examined in the back and given a vaccine, which took another 45 min. I have always been in the room in every other veterinary clinic while my pets were examined. The vet then tried to sell me unnecessary services at twice the cost I have paid in 5 other states and other cities in upstate NY for vet care, and made me feel bad for declining them, though I knew them to be unnecessary. For a clinic that is “corporate”-as the technician called it-(after telling me the incorrect information about the vaccine my ferrets would be receiving and sounding very ignorant in general about ferrets), they can’t seem to afford decent furniture in the examination rooms or provide good customer service. I will be taking my pets to Syracuse or Ottawa in future, despite the drive.

This vet has consistently provided excellent service to me over the course of 3 years. You can tell that the people that work there really love animals and want to provide them the highest quality care available. The only down side I've encountered with this vet is that they are booked out so far ahead. If you need to make a non-emergency appointment, a lot of the time, it will be a month or more in advance, unless there's a cancellation. They just happen to be very busy because they're conveniently located and popular.

Staff was very caring, and the Veterinarian answered all the questions I had for my cat.
