I have made donations to the Watertown store twice in the last couple of months. Both times the back room workers are so rude. My donations will be going else where from now on.

Workers are rude and unprofessional and do not know how to give basic customer service. I suppose that is the service you receive going to a thrift store.. I understand the frustration of having a customer stay in your store trying on clothes close to closing time I’ve been in retail for 9 years. I understand the need to inform the customer that your store is closing at a certain time. But when you repeat it over and over with a repeated unprofessional disrespectful tone when they are already very much aware of the time you close and even told you that they apologize and are aware they are closing and are almost done… then proceed to make smart remarks about the customer stating in a sarcastic tone that “oh I think I’m nice” and etc. wow how wonderful people are. Maybe try going to work for the fast food industry if a used retail store is to much for you and having a customer staying a huge 5 minutes over the time of close giving you extra time on your paycheck.. I had a large purchase you’d think a salesperson would be happy to have a customer helping their sales. After all the customer buying merchandise is what is keeping the store open for you to have a job. Helpful hint for you maybe try asking if you can take any clothes from them that they know they don’t want to accommodate the customer.. if your so desperately trying to close the fitting room - Or maybe work on putting all the other things up that is on your rack than walking around complaining and saying you’ll leave it for tomorrow… anyway I’ve said enough and have had my rant. Moral of this story if you hate your job find a different line of work.

Reason why I put 1 star here is because one of the cashier that works here is really rude for no reason and I hope the owner of this place read this so he/she can do something about it. Oh and btw the cashier name is “ELIZABETH”..

Some of the rudest personnel I’ve ever come across. I’ve been here three times, two of those times were to drop off donations, and each time I’ve encountered workers that were so unnecessarily rude. What a shame on the Salvation Army.

Their prices are very expensive and my friend who is homeless and looking for a job went in to inquire about them possibly helping him with a nice shirt for an impending interview he had(which he has proof of) and they told him they don’t give anything away and he’d have to buy one, which he couldn’t afford. I know it doesn’t say they help with that anywhere.. but isn’t that the whole idea of their organization? To help people in need? He wasn’t asking for money and the clothes are donated.. just thought people ought to know where their donations are going. I probably won’t ever donate here again. I’ve donated a ton here so I’m kind of frustrated.

I love this thrift store, probably best selection in the area. BUT one down side, they STAPLE the clothing..so they are putting holes in what would've been something really nice and the holes are very noticeable. I just dont understand why they staple the actual clothing. Just do the tag! It'd be so much better. ?

Even though my mom didn’t like it there, I still had a good time there. There wasn’t much in the women’s clothes section. If only I had the money to buy a few things there, I wouldn’t have left there empty handed.
