Super friendly staff and the prices are reasonable. My dog doesn't do well with big dogs so they made sure upon entering the clinic that she was good to enter. It's definitely worth the little drive from Utica.

This kind of makes me laugh, but its sad. I called -- and in a kidding kind of way asked "are you accepting new patients? My wife and I are now in Caz and we've been going to New Hartford for years, we'd like to move our pet care closer". I was pretty stunned to hear -- "sorry, we are not accepting new clients" -- (with a slight giggle). Seriously? For a cat checkup? Glad you are so busy and exclusive. Ridiculous. Turns out the vets in Caz, who are equally busy and jammed, were a bit more gracious and fit us in no problem. I love how some providers, after acheiving success, then deny the very population that put them there to begin with. Typical.

Our beagle, Belle, was in pain and needed to be put down last Wednesday (1/10) in the wee hours of the morning (we're talking like 3/4am). She had refused to eat for several days so we knew this was coming. We called Waterville around 3/4am and spoke with one of their after hours emergency operators and explained the situation. They took our information (we were not a client of their office) and were told that a vet would give us a call back. We live 20-30mins away so we hopped right in the car and started driving, figuring we'd rather get there than wait for a call back and then start the drive. We recieved no call from the vet like we were told we would from the operator on the phone. When we pulled into the office parking lot, there was 1 or 2 other cars in the lot, we called the same number and spoke to another operator. They requested all the same information as the first operator but then said, since we are not existing clients of this office we would not be able to be helped.I understand they have procedures they have to follow but when a member of your family is in pain, its hard to understand and give the benefit of the doubt. We were now 20-30 mins from home and to now get to the next closest vet hospital we would need to head BACK the way we had come and drive for another 30-45mins. All the while with our poor Belle howling and yipping with pain -- it was excruciating to listen to, knowing we could do nothing. We are disappointed in the first operator for not telling us upfront that we would not be able to receive emergency service, disappointed that we still to this day have not recieved a call from the vet there and did not receive a call that day as we were told we would, and we are disappointed in ourselves for putting our faith in Waterville... because in doing so we prolonged our sweet girls suffering.I would highly recommend the Veterinary Medical Center of CNY. They asked no questions, were extremely kind and understanding, and took us right in. After everything was over, they took ink prints of her paws and snout, and wrapped her up in a very nice little casket with her name printed on it. It was very sad of course, but how nice they were and the things they had done for us/her were above and beyond what we expected, and just thinking about how nice it was makes me tear up as I write this. But this review isnt for VMC CNY - just an FYI for anyone else who may unfortunately find themselves in our situation as well.

The negligence of Dr Hayes and her vet tech is not ok. A damn good relationship with this clinic has been tarnished after this week. I took my dog in for his annual exam and blood work. I saw a new doctor which I was ok with. Monday I get a call that he has Lyme disease and kidney disease. I questioned it considering he has no signs of late stage kidney failure. I was told by Dr Hayes after his urine test showed similar findings he needs an antibiotic for the Lyme and to come in for further testing. At this point I had another appt made for him at another local vet hospital because the results didn’t make sense. My dog is perfectly fine. Instead of Waterville saying gosh yeah this doesn’t sound right come back in for a retest, I’m being asked to drop him off for heavy testing. Thank gosh I listened to myself. My dog has NO kidney disease and NO Lyme disease. My dog is healthy. The sad truth? There is a dog with the results they told me my dog had. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars vs 1 is because of the professionalism of the owner and knowing they do have a few fantastic vets that I know if we saw, would have used COMMON SENSE. I’m disgusted and appalled at the amount of money I had to dish out today for a 2nd opinion and Dr Hayes never once using her common sense. My dog took medicine he didn’t need. Never again will I ever step foot at this clinic.

Beyond the best vet around! I've had nothing but great experiences since bringing my pup here. The vets are amazing and make you feel comfortable to ask any questions. The staff is always a pleasure to work with as well! 10/10 recommend bringing your animal here since they truly care about your pet. I believe my pet is in great hands here.

I've had many animals taken here. They help all they can. Every vet has a cost, but you don't always get compassion everywhere. Very busy place but we are never hurried out.. Good vets who listen. These puppies were very sick when I got them. Very healthy 6 months pups now

Thanks to Dr. Garrett Coffman my dog Coco is doing good. He had his annual yearly dental cleaning recently. I found Waterville Veterinary Clinic through a friend after another clinic wasn’t comfortable doing a dental procedure and referred me to Cornell University. While I don’t mind driving a distance, Cornell was way too far for us.I have continued to bring Coco for his dental work and other concerns. I am grateful for finding Dr. Coffman. Thanks to the entire staff for all the care given to my dog and being able to get him in when there was an emergency.

The vets here are wonderful and very attentive to your pets needs. They're a little on the pricier side but trust me when I say that extra money is well spent.
