This was my first time coming to this CountryMax location and I had a terrible experience. I bought 3 of the 2 cubic foot Coast of Maine potting soil bags. Come to find out that after they charged me, they were out of the 2 cubic foot bags. They had 1 cubic foot bags of the same product, but those were more expensive. The associate and the manager told me, after making me wait for like 10 minutes to figure out what to do, that they needed to do a return and then charge me more money. You would think in a case like this, they would just honor the price of the 2 cubic foot bags. So now I have to wait until the refund goes through to get my money back and I have no potting soil. Safe to say I will never be coming back here. Went to Bristols and got a way better deal on better potting soil.

Very nice staff. Great inventory of goods. Average prices but they do have great deals. TUESDAYS it's b2get1 free on birdseed. Get the newsletter and there's lots of extras.

Love this place! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. There's so much to look at! For animals, yards, etc etc etc. They even have a great selection of unique sodas.

This was an exercise in frustration.This store discriminates against the handicapped. There is no ADA accessibility.Tried to find something in the store. There are no overhead labels to find what your in search of. It was then a challenge to find someone to ask for assistance.I was looking for some herbs at the end of April. I had a bring a cart through two doors get out to their non-paved gravel nursery. We all remember what it's like to push a grocery cart through snow and slush. It's just as bad through gravel I can only imagine the exertion it would take had I had anything in the cart.If you wish to shop I suggest you bring someone with you so that they can hold open all the doors you have to go through if you're using a cart.In conclusion, if you want to work out pushing cart through doors. This is the place to come. Don't bring someone who's handicapped and if you want to get your steps in This is the place because you won't be able to find what you're looking for unless you walk the entire store.

CountryMax in Webster has an absolute all star staff. Whether I’m looking for aquarium fish/plants, gardening supplies, or just looking around, the staff is always there to help. I’ve had extensive conversations about the types of plants I’d like to have in my aquarium and the knowledgeable staff offers info and advice that is beyond impressive. I’m always offered help to carry anything heavy and today some lad came running up to take my cart inside when I was on my way to return it. You guys rock and I hope you’re paid well for your dedication.

After other stores in the area were out of stock with an item I needed, I called the Webster store asking for a stock check. They said they have it.Drive 30 minutes to get to the store to find out that they've been out of stock for a while and never had it. Thanks, ya bums.

We've been frequent shoppers at this location since it first opened, and have always enjoyed being customers here. Great store, great lay-out, super clean and well stocked.Tonight, we utilized their lovely party room for the first time for our daughters birthday party, and I can't commend CountryMax and the Webster store team enough for helping us host a great event. First - Their party room is beautiful, spacious, and the store staff had it set-up so nicely for us. We chose the small animal party theme, and our party host Jimmy was SO patient and lovely with all the kiddos in attendance, giving them multiple experiences to meet and learn about some of the animals there at the store. Rachel the store manager was also super attentive with ensuring that we had everything we needed & the room set-up was completed to.a T. The party offerings through CountryMax are such a hidden gem, which I will be recommending widely from here on out. Jimmy, Rachel and the entire CountryMax team, THANK YOU! We are so appreciative.

Very disappointing trip to this location today. I get an email telling me about bulk wild birdseed the other day and I also needed a new birdbath so I went well out of my way to go there today and find no bulk seed (they don't have it at this Country Max location) and when I go outside to look for the particular birdbath I wanted, I find 3 bases but zero bowls! I went inside to tell them what I found and was told, "Yeah, seems they blow away pretty easy." WHAT??? If that's the case then they don't belong outside, move them in with the ceramic ones! It doesn't take a genius to figure that out! I've shopped at this store in the past but this is the last time I'll be going to this location!

Thee rudest employee at this location. I went in asking very basic and understandable questions about items that they might have in stock. And just nothing but attitude after every sentence. I could not have been any nicer and she just seemed like she didn't want to help me at all. I've had bad service at places but nothing like this. Maybe she was having a bad night, but if she is at all like this to other people she seriously needs to be talked to.Did not catch her name but it was 1/7/22 around 6:00PM. Older woman with red hair I believe.

Have a birthday party at Country Max. We did a 5 year old’s bday and it was amazing! The Small Animal Meet and Greet party was so much fun for the kids ages 3-7 and the parents.The party room was clean, spacious, and attractive. Lexi, the coordinator came to help us set up. She already had tables (with table cloths) and chairs set up ahead of time. They allowed us to bring in our own food, we could have pizza delivered there, and set up any type of decorations we wanted. They showed the kids 10 animals and we connected prior to decide if there were any must-see animals or any not to bring out. The young man handling the animals made sure all the kids had a chance to see and pet each one and told us information about each one, too. He really knew how to speak to kids. They provided invitations and favors, too.

I've had great service especially buying fish and plants. The tanks look great and well maintained. I have become a repeat customer and would recommend this place. Hidden gem!
