I was greeted warmly by Mike and right away he showed his expertise by easily untangling the wild chain. He told me what I was working with and showed my a subtable chain replacement that was better that what I had and matched the custom lockett I came in with. “Finding an honest jeweler is rare these days, which is why my experience with Eddie was so refreshing. I initially visited to obtain an appraisal report for my insurance coverage. Before proceeding, Eddie took the time to honestly explain the true retail value of my diamond. Rather than encouraging me to pay for an appraisal I might not need, he was transparent and upfront about the situation.
Because of his integrity and professionalism, I decided to move forward with the appraisal anyway. Not only was the service exceptional, but their appraisal fee was approximately 70–75% lower than what I was quoted in New York City and the surrounding counties. In fact, Eddie even charged me less than the standard appraisal fee.
The drive was absolutely worth it. It's rare to find a business that genuinely prioritizes honesty, customer satisfaction, and the best interests of its clients over making a quick sale.

“Matthew is a very well educated and highly certified professional with a passion for gemology. He has a professional lab in his office with up to 30 instruments at his disposal. I came in with a couple of fairly rare stones and he did a very thorough analysis. He researched them, spending probably more time than it was worth for him to come up with a reliable current retail value. His rate was very reasonable to boot. He was very personable even though it was late in the day which made it a fun visit as well. He will definitely be my ‘go to guy’ for any future appraisals.”

“I’ve been coming to Levit Jewelers for years for gifts, repairs, and appraisals and they have always been wonderful. Recently, I brought in several pieces of my mother’s jewelry that she left to me. Many of them were broken, with cracked stones and dulled settings, and I wasn’t sure how much could be restored.
When I picked them up, I was truly moved. Every piece had been beautifully repaired and brought back to life and absolutely stunning.
