I have been with ADT for 10 years. We are moving to a temporary location waiting for our next home. I was charged a cancelation fee and then hung up on after canceling. Such a shame to treat loyal customers this way. I would have used them in my new home. I will find an alternate service.

Horrible!!!!!!! I signed up for ADT 2 weeks after moving into my new 2 family home 2/20. They blatantly LIED to me when installing equipment about being able to separate the bill for the 2 units after installation. I was annoyed but dealt with it. I was on autopay for both units. I started seeing small late fees which was very confusing if I'm on autopay! They had no explanation, but I found it difficult to remove my card. Then the card I had on file expired 11/20 and I chose not to put another card on autopay due to the late fees I was seeing. I started paying my bill monthly manually! Pandmic happened, and in May 2020 I lost my father, right in the middle of the pandemic. Things were crazy, I made a late payment for June or July due to all that was going on around my dads death. Once things settled down I was able to refocus and paid many of my bills about 3 weeks late!! I Literally start getting harassed with calls that I usually ignored bc I was PAYING THE BILL MONTHLY! So I wasn't letting them annoy me. It was sometimes a few days late but it's paid within the month the bills is due. August 2021 I get notifications that I am going to be sent to collections, huh?!!? I'm paying the bill!!!!!!! In Sept 2021 I get a bill from collections for over $4000!!!!!!! My equipment total was down to maybe $300 total!!!! What in the world!!!! I speak to ADT and I am livid bc I can't have this go on my credit as my credit was excellent!! I was ready to fight them in COURT!! I eventually agree to pay a little over $800 to settle everything and restore service bc I wanted a security system!!!! When I called the customer service it was horrible. they wanted me to pay all of these extra fees and couldn't even tell me what my $800 went towards!!!!! Just like they could never tell me what my monthly payments went towards!!!! How is that?!?!?! They just apply it where they want!!!!!! I wish I would have researched prior to doing business with ADT. I just assumed it was a great security company!! STAY AWAY FROM ADT!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! I have a whole lot more to say but for the sake of the reader who may be interested I tried to be a brief as a could! STAY AWAY!!!! I'm going to contact the better business bureau and speak to attorney!

Avoid at all costs.Service manager carlos, phone number +1 (929) 316-1575. Sends an incompetent tech out who is unable to install equipment. The one equipment that he is able to install stops working the next day. He is now refusing to remove the equipment.
