I just bought a 2026 Genesis GV70 from Genesis of The South Shore. My sales person was Catherine Foss. She was absolutely wonderful and couldn’t have made the buying process more seamless. She was very knowledgeable about all the features on the car and took the time to go over every one of them with me. I will highly recommend her to everyone!

We purchased our third G80, the first from their fabulous new home. All went very smoothly and we drove out happy and satisfied with our lease deal. I absolutely DO NOT recommend the Service Department at South Shore Genesis.
TLDR: It took 2 days to complete service that should have taken ~4hrs, and I was left high and dry without access to a vehicle for the entire time.
I called South Shore Genesis on 8/21 to schedule maintenance for a recall on my 2022 Genesis G70.
I was told they needed a few days to get the part, so I took an open appointment the following week on 8/28 at 9:45am.
On 8/27, I confirmed this appointment both via text message and phone call.
On 8/28, I dropped off my G70 at 9:10am (35 minutes early), and was told the service manager Jan, that the maintenance would take approximately 4 hours to complete.
Since I had not received an update all day, I called the service department at 3:15pm and was told my vehicle was currently being worked and that I’d get a call back later.
At 4:15pm, 45 min before the service department closed, I received a call from the service manager Jan. I was expecting to be told my vehicle was ready for pickup, but instead I was told that they were still working on my vehicle and would not finish by closing, so they’d need to keep it another day.
I explained to Jan that he had originally told me when I dropped off the vehicle that the service would take approx. 4hrs, and it was now over 7hrs later. I told him that I expected to get the car back that day, and that I needed a vehicle that evening and the following day. He told home he had no loaners available; offered no apologies, and suggested that I go rent a vehicle at my own time and expense, and then I could try and submit the receipt to Genesis corporate for reimbursement but only up to a max of $70.
The following day(8/29) Jan called me at approx. 11:15am. I was again expecting to hear that my vehicle was ready, since he had told me the previous afternoon it was being worked on, but no. Jan instead was calling to let me know that vehicle was still not ready but being worked on, and would not be ready until later that afternoon.
At 2:30pm, Jan called to let me know the car maintenance was finished but was currently being washed.
So South Shore Genesis received my vehicle on 8/28 at 9:10am, for what should have been a 4hr service, intentionally did not work on my vehicle until later in the day (or more likely than not, not at all), thus causing the condition whereby I was without a vehicle for the evening of 8/28 and most of the day on 8/29, and despite having several dealerships under one roof, offered no loaner vehicle, and provided no other remedy except suggesting that I go and rent a vehicle at my own time and expense.
As a result of this service departments gross indifference, I was unexpectedly without a vehicle for 2 days, which caused me to cancel my evening plans on 8/28, and reschedule appointments and postpone errands I had scheduled on 8/29. I am just very lucky that I did not have to go to work either day.
So, unless you have potentially days to spare, I would NOT recommend the service department South Shore Genesis.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to this dealership for either sales or service. In fact this experience has given me second thoughts about the entire brand.
Certainly, not the luxury like experiences advertised by Genesis. They have a long way to go to compete with the likes of other luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, etc.

Overall the service was good. I’ll just list the things that I thought was not an ideal experience. Looks like there was an issue with the process as the text notifications to confirm appointment was correct for 8:30 am vale drop off but Virginia had 8 am on her system. She was great and resolved quickly. Car arrived at 8:45 as I’m not too far away from the dealership. When the truck was dropped off after service, the cabin smelled like gas for 2 days. Odor still present but not as strong. My baby seat in the back seat was removed and just place in the back. Car Seat is behind the passenger seat so I really don’t know why it was touched and moved other than if someone needed to ride in the passenger seat.
