April 2024 by Jacqueline L.
Before i start this review, been here before prepandemic before i started writing reviews. Went here on Wednesday April 10th 2024 to check out their entertainment section for any good Cds. Was surprised when i saw that there was a decline of inventory, and not much items there. This is located on the 4th level, and as others said is only 1 level, but it seems like it makes use of its space. I wasn't there to look for books though, but perhaps another time. Looked for a bit in the entertainment section but didn't find anything of interest for a gift. oh well. Hope to be back soon, maybe to check out a book next time!

This is a good store to shop for books. There is also a starkbucks in the Barnes and Nobles but there are no plug points in the wall to charge your phone or laptop. I come to read and work and i cannot charge my phone or laptop here which sucks. Starbucks please add some plug points in the wall

The staff here are always so kind, patient, and enthusiastic but I’m completely heartbroken that Barnes and Noble discontinued their Educator Program, as I relied on it as the main way to get books for my classroom. I honestly probably won’t purchase from here again, because I can get the same prices as the discount was but on Amazon. Sorry BnN, but that was your competitive edge. I loved talking to your booksellers but if the price difference means I get to buy an entire extra book, I’ll have to go with the cheapest seller. I will say I am thrilled at how much they’ve expanded their Spanish language section in the last seven or so years that I’ve been working and looking for my Spanish classes there, so hats off to them for that improvement.

I went to the Starbucks to get my sister and I a cup of water each. I waited patiently on line, when I finally got to the window 10 minutes later I politely asked the lady [working the line at about 3:55pm Sunday August 14] for what I needed. She said "we sell bottled water or there's a fountain over there" and kind of flicked me towards the general direction but gave no real instruction of how to find the water fountain. I paused, confused, because every food establishment is supposed to provide water, which I had to work out of my brain because technically they did so I said OK and went over to the water fountain. When we got there there was green and blue mold over both spouts and so I refused to drink that water. I made my way back to the lady and I showed her the photos of the two water fountains and asked her if I could please have 2 cups of water because there is mold on the water fountain. She said "we sell bottled water" and then just stared me in the face with the biggest attitude as if I've done something to offend her. I re-explain that the water they're provided is not sanitary and has mold and she said that they cannot give out water as per their policy. I've been to MANY Starbucks and they always give water without a problem. I don't know if she was being racist, as I am a brown woman, but I've never had a problem at any Starbucks . She is quite literally the first and only person to ever give me an issue at a Starbucks and over water no less, a basic human right, which was not going to decrease her pay or hurt her or anyone in anyway. So I said to her "really, you can't give my sister a cup of water?" she said "I can do ONE cup" I told her fine even though I asked her two and she grabbed the smallest cup she could find, turned around, turned on the sink, filled the cup, spilled half of it on the way back over, did not bother to refill what she had spilled, and placed it on counter and said here you go and looked at me in the face. So, to the lady who was working the line at about 3:55pm Sunday August 14, I was respectful and polite to you and I had to almost beg you to give me HALF a cup of warm water. I don't know if you were having an off day or you're a racist but I hope that you can change because that's no way to live life.

This is from a month ago, so I forgot his exact name, but the Asst. MAnager that starts with M, he is the rudest and most condescending book store employee I have come across in 20 years. MEgan isn't that nice either. I would 100% avoid this BArnes and Noble. The people are the scum that work here.
