Victor Constant is conveniently located just outside the gates of the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. This gem of an area has been a cherished traditional source of recreation for military families and the surrounding community for 85 years! The Army operates three ski areas throughout the US with Victor Constant being the oldest ski area. We are also in top five of oldest ski areas in NY; we've been here awhile! In 1936, skiing was first attempted at West Point on a primitive ski slide at Delafield Pond. Three years later, the first trail was cut through the woods at Silver Deposit Hill, later named Victor Constant Ski Slope after Army Captain Victor Constant, who was instrumental in developing skiing at West Point.
