Victor Constant Ski Area is a historic and cherished traditional source of recreation, conveniently located just outside the gates of the United States Military Academy in West Point. It is the oldest Army-operated ski area in the US and one of the oldest in New York. This hidden gem in Orange County is a great place to ski and snowboard, offering an amazing experience with reasonable prices. It is ideal for getting practice runs in without driving for hours, perfect for people who are not serious about snowboarding. While the mountain is comparatively small, the professional, friendly, and top-notch staff is incredibly encouraging and works hard to keep the slopes open. They make their own snow and provide a positive, fun experience. The food is also awesome and fresh. It is a great place for military families, the community, and group trips, earning a five-star rating.
