“The very best sponge candy! My family has been supporting Mike’s from Florida over the years. I was recently in Buffalo, so I stoped in…tried some other candies too, and they were all good…especially, the pecan turtles!
Price wise, Mike’s cost the same, if not less, compared to other local competitive brands.”

“I always forget Fowler's is right around the corner from where I live. I don't know why we don't hang out more.

The first time I went to Fowler's was to buy sponge candy for some friends in Florida. My friend Tasha sent me a book that turned out to be one of the best I've ever read. It's an old book and out of print, and I kept the book longer than was honestly acceptable, so when I mailed it back I wanted to include something special. I sent a box of milk chocolate and a box of orange milk chocolate sponge candy. Needless to say, I was forgiven.

The shop is small, but don't let that fool you. There's a lot packed inside and it's plenty of variety. Wonderful gifts or treats for yourself. I went back just before Christmas to pick up a couple of boxes of sponge candy for my best friend, and the associate working at the counter offered to wrap them up for me.

The customer service has been top notch every time I've been in there. The store is clean and organized in a way that makes it easy to find what you need. There's enough parking and it's easy to get in and out.

Seriously, Fowler's; let's hang out more, okay? I promise I'll come see you more in 2025, and it would be great if you wanted to by my place, too. I'll put the coffee on if you bring the chocolate.”

“Im giving a decent review solely based on the one woman we dealt with. With the short hair, glasses and bills shirt. There was another woman working there with shoulder length brown hair, and because of her I almost walked out. Ive lived out of town since 2013. After growing up in EA. Watsons is a staple and we usually order online since we live in TN now. We visited home and decided to visit the store. This woman was agitated, annoyed, pissy, short responses, unhelpful, unempathetic, rude, and barking towards me and my son. At the end my son was sitting under the glass class and she basically yelled at me. It was bizarre. Have you ever felt like someone hated your existence just for existing, youd get it from this lady. Thankfully at the register we had the woman with the shorter hair and glasses. Who when once found out I was a veteran. Cancelled my transaction & and started over so I could get the 15% discount. As someone who served two tours in Iraq. This meant a lot to me. This woman was caring, pleasant and warm. My mom and I ended up spending over $400 here. Please train your employees. The other worker has no right being in the front. Let her work in the back so she can ruin her own day and no one elses.”

“I’ve had a good experience with Sycamore Halal Meat & Fish Market. They’re professional, friendly, and offer quality halal meat and fish. I’m giving 4 stars because the last time I visited, they weren’t sure about some of the prices—but overall, they’re great. I definitely recommend them and will be going back again!”

“This place is just great! A lot of holiday decor to look at for Christmas!! The bills shirt selection of Ts and hoodies is pretty good and the prices aren't bad at all! Usually a sale of some sort going on for the bills clothes! The owner is so happy and bubbly and helpful! The other staff is very friendly and helpful as well! Gloria helped me a lot! Thank you ladies for doing such a great job!”

“Buffalo is blessed with fantastic chocolatiers. Each one can put his own spin on their candy. When you walk into a chocolate shop it is a religious experience. You aren't there to buy a box of chocolate and rush out the door to Wegmans. You are there to celebrate the masters of their craft. So Mr. Cork sniffer, is Parkside the best? It might be. Watson's is also my favorite. I'll just stick to talking about sponge. Parkside has the thinner sponge pieces. I might favor that format. But they both are kings. You can love two things the best, right? You have to be aware that sponge is delicate. So is the chocolate too. Maybe you kept it too long. Maybe, god forbid, there is a bad piece. Like mold on cheese, sediment in the wine, and grizzle in the steak - sometimes it has flaws. But Buffalo sponge is a treasure. Thank your lucky stars the place exists. Now go buy some!”
