“Asian market with great variety of vegetables including authentic veggies fruits and meat available. Clean place and great service! They got a nice Boba place right at the entrance and it’s so good! Lychee pearls and mango slushy were very refreshing.”

“Nice place, but waaaaaaaay over priced. $6 for carrots ? they're definitely taking advantage of the affluent neighborhood. Bought a small apple pie ($23) and it tasted good but it's like a jiffy pop popcorn, obnoxiously high crust so you can't cut a slice cleanly, definitely can NOT serve this to guests, impossible to plate (see pics) also a small 6" zucchini bread ($8.95) it was good.”

“A wonderful place to stop and pick up your box of summer tomatoes and whatever other bounty you enjoy. A really nice, old style farm stand. Thanks for what you do!”

“Very happy with this location as their prices for many items are lower than Walmart. Food is always fresh as their storeroom does not stock up on food/perishables. What is on shelves is for the day only and restocked everyday.”

“Mom wanted a fruit platter for her 90th birthday party. She wanted many berries and kiwis. We got them on a huge platter of beautifully crafted melons and pineapple and plum slices. The artistic arrangement and ripe sweet juicy fruits were amazing. Highly recommend.”

“My favorite place to buy my groceries. Been shopping there for over 20 years. This is a seasonal fruit and vegetable market in the old world style. The prices and quality of the produce are excellent for in-season fruit. We can't expect to get the same quality of the same produce when it is out of season for anyone who posted a poor review. Since my children were little the great displayed produce helped them find new and interesting fruit and veggies to eat. Many times they see a new seasonal item and tried it. Cross Island is a great family run business by owner Joe who is always watching over the quality. The staff on the aisles recognizes customers and is always helpful. The butcher and seafood are top notch and beat any poor factory style meat from the big corporate chains. Shop local and support your community by sharing this great gem in Lynbrook. They have helped me raise a healthy family for years.”

“Mike is a gem at Jewel of the Sea! My family & I come to Jewel of the Sea weekly and love the most fresh & delicious wild salmon. Mike always greets us warmly and does an incredible job at selecting the ideal piece & consistently slices precisely the amount I request which is 3/4 lb. That is certainly a gift! My elder daughter loves the clam bake & side dishes! Displays are enticing & everything is kept immaculate. I look forward to receiving coupons & earning points. Highly recommend!!!”

“I live in the area for years and recently started shopping at Han's Natural Farm. I cannot say enough about the quality, freshness, and selection of their fruit. The staff is extremely friendly. I am in the store at least twice a week and highly recommend it!”

“I love this place. I get my fruits and vegetables here all the time. This is the best place you could ever find. Saverio is very helpful in helping me pick my produce, I will always go to this shop .”

“Aldi's always reminds me of a trader Joe's style store. Not a whole bunch of fresh stuff. There's a lot of canned and packaged goods. A lot of ultra processed things. So buyee beware. With that said, it's a great place to go to get your shelf staples and things for the freezer. I get french fries, frozen pizzas, sauces and things of that nature. I also get my salads from there and bread on occasion. I just don't think it's the kind of place you could go for your regular food shopping. It serves as a supplement for me to get some snack style foods or quick to prepare foods. As usual, watch the ingredients and enjoy your food!”

“Very small store, almost like a little corner deli. Has a bit of everything that speaks to Caribbean flavors and foods. Fresh produce and spices used in a lot of island cooking. Three tight fitting aisles, no shopping carts but they have hand baskets. If you have small children either carry them, let them walk, or use an umbrella stroller. A full size stroller won't fit down the aisles. A good portion of the products are obviously hand-packaged. Prices are really good on almost everything! Portions are available in various sizes for most items. Staff was friendly and helpful. For authentic Caribbean cooking this is a good place to start for ingredients.”

“I've been going here all my life. It has changed from a small fruit and vegetable stand to a small supermarket. The owners keep the place clean and the produce is fresh. Theier stock is varied, inexpensive, and good quality.”

“Generally I really like it here. Amazing cheese and veggies selection. However, the milk is expensive ($8.39 for a half gallon of Horizon). And tonight I bought some meatballs from the deli section that were pretty gross, to be honest (and pricey at $11 for two).”

“Wonderful fruit and produce selection! Great customer service, Lou helped me with some fresh squeeze lime juice that I needed for margaritas for a party I was having. Came out perfectly!”
