Unreliable car rental, and poor customer service. Rented a car here specifically asking for a car seat in the booking, and called twice to verify that there would be a car seat. We were told that if we had booked one, it would be there and upon arrival there was no car seat, nor could they tell us if any other Avis locations had one. This has left us in the lurch unable to drive anywhere safely with our infant. Not only was there barely an apology, there was no offer of a discount or credit than the inconvenience, other than graciously offering to remove the charge of the car seat that was not there to begin with. Very disappointing, do not recommend.

It's strange that i see a lot of complaints on customer service but my experience for the past 3 months I've been renting is completely different. Gina and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with. Yes, sometimes the responses could be curt but they always anticipate my needs and questions and always offer alternative solutions if required.
They are also very proactive and i have received calls ahead of time to remind me of drop offs especially during the weekend where i was not aware of timing of business closing hours. This definitely saved me money in penalties.

This place is falling down the drain with the awful management. The website allows me to pick the time of pick up and drop off. When I get there to drop off the manager told me that I was going to get charged for another day because I was supposed to drop it off at a certain time. I confronted them and showed them my reservation email confirmation and even then he said that's not how things work. I ended up getting charged for an extra hour either way. First he tried to charge for an extra day when confronted resorted to charge me for an extra hour. Costumer service sucks big time. Proceed with caution. Car was driving horribly too.

This branch was very rude and unprofessional. My wife rented a car online received a confirmation email indicating to pick up the car at their 116 westchester ave. Whiteplains, NY branch. When my wife provided her credentials along with the itinerary from Expedia confirmation the manager, a female indicated I can't find it that's what you get when you use a third party, this response was not only very rude but unprofessional when representing an esteemed company such as Budget/Avis. I regretfully DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS BRANCH!

The staff was nice, but the entire experience was a horrendous experience. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Maybe it was the full moon, but I’m very traumatised from renting a car from Avis in the future.

I went to three different rental car locations on a Saturday as I realllllly needed a rental. I called this Avis site ahead and the lady at the front pre booked me so when I came in it was a smooth process. They were very friendly and the car was super clean. Definitely will rent from this location in White Plains again.

Worst customer service. I made a reservation over one month in advance and pre-paid for the car. I spoke to the agent at length to ensure that pick up would be seamless. I was assured that it was all taken care of and there would be no issue.When picking up the car, they would not honor the agreement and offered to book the car and nearly twice as much.Beyond terrible. When did customer service stop helping customers?
