Rented an SUV through Budget at Westchester airport. My flight was significantly delayed and was to arrive well after closing time. Budget called me and told me where and how to pick up car when I arrived. Great service and nice vehicle!

I returned the car to Westchester airport; handed my keys to the man and got on my plane. Received a text 3 days later telling me the car was never returned. I then received a $600 charge on my credit card. After numerous phone calls to Budget, I just received a text saying the car was found. I still do not have a credit for the $600 I was charged. I will not be using budget again

No smiles or any attempt at customer service here. Cars are retuned and send back out on the roads within an hour or two. Cleaning the car? I don’t think so. Meh I’d rather use another carrier.

As with many other reviewers, upon arrival, I waited in line for 30 minutes before being assisted and then told there were no cars available. I had a reservation and pre-paid for the car. I then had to wait another 30 minutes to get into a vehicle. I don't understand why a car rental establishment would even take reservations if cars aren't guaranteed upon arrival. What's the point of a reservation if there are NO CARS?????In addition, the car was not washed and the windows were so filthy inside that I could not see at night and had to stop and pick up some glass cleaner.I will never use Budget again!!

One of my most disappointing car rentals in my 40 years of renting.The vehicle they first tried to put me in had been in an accident. It had markings on it indicating the damage, yet they put it back on the lot for rental. The bumper was coming off. It also had dents elsewhere.The manager came to see it since he was on the lot and he offered absolutely no assistance. He agreed with me that it was not safe, since the bumper could come off on the highway.When I went back inside to get another vehicle, they neglected to tell me that the tank of the next car was not full and that I did not need to return it full. This cost me $10 in gas. It added insult to injury.Lastly, they are now parking several rows of vehicles perpendicular to the line of budget cars the renters pick up. It is incredibly difficult to get your car out of the space. I had to help another renter. Navigate getting her vehicle out of the lot. It’s ridiculous.

I had a really bad experience with this location/business. I had a flight that was delayed and provided my flight information when booking. When I landed I saw that the location closed without leaving the keys to the car or even contacting me. When I called the contact number for Budget the recorded message on there said that they are aware of the delays. I had to take an Uber home in the evening and back to the airport to get my car rental the next day. I complained to Budget and they told me it is the airline’s responsibility and provided no discount/deduction in price.

This is the third time I have used Budget at HPN. Each time I have gotten a nice vehicle and the price has been very good each time i rented. The rental staff has always been accommodating and friendly and you get in and out of the airport quickly and the returns are fast and easy. I have had nothing but good experiences with Budget at this location.

when i arrived to get my vehicle, I was told there weren't any vehicles on property to rent. I had no other choice but to wait so i stood up at the counter, and after some time, another customer came up to the counter beside me and when I saw him filling out online forms I just assumed it was for whenever they had vehicles available but then the man behind the counter handed him his paperwork and told him where to retrieve his vehicle! Needless to say, I was taken aback since I had been waiting much longer and i had a prepaid reservation. When I asked the man behind the counter how he just rented that man a vehicle when I had been waiting first, he said nothing at all and simply stared at me! I just kept looking back at him, waiting for him to say something and then he jut shrugged his shoulders! then i said" so you don't know why you rented that man a vehicle when i've been waiting for so long?" then the young lady behind the counter said " he probably ordered a luxury SUV or a van or something like that." That's actually what I expected the man to say but since he did'n't have any response at all, I believe that she just said it because she could tell I was getting pretty irritated at that point. she was consistantly calling on her radio for a vehicle to be brought up as soon as possible but I told them that since I had been waiting almost an hour at this point that I should have been given the opportunity to rent that vehicle first and that I want to be offered the very next one that comes in, no matter what it is! The only reason that I didn't leave and go to another car rental counter was because I had already prepaid I finally got my vehicle and they did both apologize but the whole situation left me frustrated!

I was stranded with my family at this airport around 9PM. I commonly grab rentals but usually booked them in advance. This agency refused to help me called me a "walk up" whatever that means they had plenty of cars but refused to attempt to do any work. Suggested I could try again in the morning. I hope I never get stranded in this toilet again. I'll never forget being an issue (stranded) and then having to deal with these jerks

We had to change destinations because of flight cancellation. New location had to wait two days for a car and had to take car that was offered - not the one we requested. The car, a Chevy Malibu, had a low noise coming from the back seat at highway speeds, a waterfall in the trunk occurred when opening it up after being in rain and the gas mileage was terrible

Given a car with no treads and totally bald tire. Had a flat tire and waited three hours on a major highway for help. Front desk was rude. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER RENT FROM BUDGET!!! Overpriced.

Very sad that that Budget does not have enough employees to make customers feel valued. Waited in line for over an hour to pick up our car at Westchester County Airport. When we returned the car, there were no Budget Employees to be found at the airport, nor were there instructions posted to securely return the car. Lucky we are experienced travelers and things worked out well in the end. Do not receommend unless they are significantly cheaper that it is worth the wait and guesswork.

The service is not good at the Westchester county airport. Nobody is at the front desk for me to pick up my rental. Very bad service. You have a time of service, somebody should be there servicing the people who are spending their money for a SERVICE! First time and I’m very disappointed

Well if you’d like to wait in lines for hours and then have the representatives tell you that you’re late to your pick up budget is the rental for you!! if you wanna reserve a car, pay for it and then have to reserve a car again and pay for it, and be given a car you didn’t reserve, budget is the place for you!! I guess the word budget should’ve explained it all

Wow look at all those 1 ⭐️reviews! And for good reason. They are terrible. This location closes early without warning. It happened twice now, they do call but I’m on an airplane. I don’t get calls. Idiots. I show up only to find the place abandoned.PS: when you call customer service, you get someone overseas who’s using an Internet line. Very difficult to communicate with them. Just rent from one of the other companies, you’ll be glad you did.
