I had the worst experience here. I came in here to make a memory bear for my mom who's mother just passed and the staff did not help. They stayed behind the counter and ignored me. When I asked for assistance I was pointed towards a machine and still left unassisted while I struggled for 45 minutes with the sound bar. However, when other people came into the store that were not of color they were helped immediately and the employee with braids and glasses named Zion hopped from behind the counter to help. I ended up leaving without the bear. Thank you for nothing.

A disinterested staff in serving the public, I stayed for 30 minutes and I observed the same thing with other clients. They should keep in mind that their clients are excited children.

The staff was super helpful and very kind. We went to get my nephew a birthday bear. It was his first experience and the staff was so patient with him. Thanks so much.

First time attending a party there. The build a bear part was terrific and the kids had an amazing time. Giving a one less start because of one of the games they party crew chose for the kids to play - the kids had to smell and recognize a sent - it was a complete disgusting germ fest, completely insensitive to the fact we just had a pandemic (every kids put their nose and mouth on the plastic thing and passed it to the rest, eww).

Not bad? Target is nearby with poofy fellas of higher quality at 1/3-1/2 the price, but here is a quick way to stuff a plush full of memories.

OMG!!! The worse BUILD A BEAR EVER!!! The workers were rude, after asking to refill 2 bears that were not stuffed correctly. They sucked their teeth and walked away, after stating that their displays DID NOT look like what I was given, and one young girl states that is how they are filled. These workers DO NOT interact with the people nonetheless the kids that cone in with such excitement. SHAME ON THEM!!! And after spending $125.00 this store charges their customers .98 cents for the boxes, what a DISGRACE!!! The boxes should be included COME ON!!!! customers are paying $25.00 or more for a plain bear and when you add accessories it's so much more!!!SHAME ON YOU!!! for charging that extra .98 for a box!!!!!Do I recommend THIS STORE? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Go elsewhere, your kids will NOT have the build a bear experience they HYPE up on the commercials to be. Shirley

Bears are pricey & need plenty of more characters of styles & outfits but are cute though.

We had an amazing experience at Build A Bear in White Plains this week. Jim worked tirelessly to make sure everybody in the store had their needs met and took the time to see that our child had a special time. His enthusiasm and outgoing personality really topped the experience.Thank you, Jim, for making our day!

2/20/21 Went 12pm this afternoon with 6y/o nephew to fill a Combo Panda bear. Yasmin and the two other staff (man and a woman) were AMAZING!!! They were personable, patient, sweet and funny with a special needs child that was super excited to be there. We pre-ordered the unstuffed bear and other accessories and came to get it filled, we thankfully didn’t get any upsell whatsoever on the showroom FULL of other plushies/stuffies and accessories - bears, unicorns, minions, bat car with sound - which of course we DID buy anyway (converse, roller skates and yip, that bat car) because it’s all adorable and not that expensive and we spoil this child. The store was totally covid-compliant and immaculate, the vibe was relaxed and positive. The entire experience from greeting, finding out what we needed, guiding my nephew through the adorable bear-filling process and seamlessly completing our sale was done while engaging my (talkative and energetic) nephew the entire time.I read lots of reviews about various locations and they were a mixed bag, I was dead-set on going to another mall but I’m very happy we went to the Westchester, and will be returning. He wants minions and all of Combo Panda’s friends. Also, I thought the process was pretty fast, so unlike another reviewer thought it’d be good for birthdays up to 10 kids without any real lag time between each child while they look and play throughout the store. Also, if you have a specific stuffy (Combo, etc), call ahead and find out if they have in store or if you can get it delivered to store in time for your visit. Seriously, a very stress-free, no hover, overall enjoyable experience.

$40-$50 per bear. Don’t sleep on the accessories.
