“I have to put a review. I was looking for a place for a turkey last minute I called this place. Spoke with Tanji and she fit me in the last minute. I ordered a whole coked turkey for today to pick it up. She was so professional and kind. Spoke with her few times back and forth about ingredients due to allergies. Picked the turkey and I can say that it was the best turkey I ever had and all the guests were so happy. I will never cooked another turkey because there is no way I can cook like them. Thank You all to you and the best chef!”
“This meat market is located in an excellent location in downtown Mount Vernon. A little away from the Pavilion square area which is convenient for people coming from Hartly Park. The service is excellent even in the holiday season in which the small shop can fill up quickly. They have a variety of meats, some vegetables, juices, and Jamaican bread. Found this shop an ideal meat market business!”
“After taking my kids in their 20's to Ireland for the first time this year, I thought it would be a great surprise to assemble them an Irish breakfast box for Christmas. I finally settled on ordering Irish breakfast sausages, rashers, and black pudding from this shop based on their story and the reviews. We were not disappointed! The meats are fantastic. Now we are thinking we need to plan a trip to New York to check out the store in person, and load up on more meat. Thank you for the excellent service and products. We will definitely be buying more!”
“Been going here for more than 10 years, the guys are friendly and always willing to cut your meat just the way you want it. The meat is always fresh and packed for visibility, you get to choose from pre-cut pieces to whole pieces. They also sell a wide variety of other food items.”
“I love this supermarket. You can get in and out of the store in a flash, it is clean, very well stocked especially for a small store and the staff is great. My only complaint is that the produce can be underwhelming. I see so many of the reviews compare Country Market to Stop and Shop down the road. While you might be able to get food cheaper at Stop and Shop, Stop and Shop is often understocked, the staff is discourteous and getting in and out of the lot is bad.”

“Indeed things but are pricy but I come out of my way to get here because they sell what I cannot find elsewhere. The bacon (Irish) is consistently great quality and 100% Irish. Love when they have McDonnell’s HOT curry powder in stock, and today I treated myself to a bottle of orange squash (concentrate) to take me back to my childhood. Now I just want them to get some French Fancies in stock and I’ll be in heaven.”
“Came in just for a few ingredients for a pastry I was planning to make and to try their shawarma—ended up getting 5 to take home for friends to try, along with lots of fun ingredients I can’t wait to use!!!
The chicken shawarma may be the best thing I’ve tried in Yonkers since I moved here! Hummus delicious as well.

“Meat market and Deli in one. I usually only frequent the deli, once in a while I'll get chicken from the meat market. It's nice having a butcher so close by. They also deliver. For the deli, I'll call in my order/s (breakfast or lunch) and it's ready in less than 10 minutes. Food is pretty good. They have pretty much everything you need. Nothing like a NY Bodega......no cat though ??”

“After looking for 'Quality Meat' at an affordable price, we Googled and found Mini's Prime Meats... This cozy meat market has fresh meats, and the kindest workers. They worked with my husband and I for a reasonable price for the holidays although at the current times-prices are extremely high... But, they were gracious enough to give us a very fair price for a family Thanksgiving roast. Plus they were detailed and gave the baking instructions on the receipt---Who does that!!! This is my new family meat market-If the prices are high--I'm certain they are the market rate, plus the service is so nice and I didn't smell meat which is a plus for a meat market... :) They not only have a new customer, they have a new generation of customers AND I'M ALMOST CERTAIN THAT'S THE GOAL FOR ANY BUSINESS!!!! “I had completely forgotten about an order I had placed, and I needed that night. When I called about picking it up, the store had already closed. One of the employees was good enough to stay until I arrived, over 20 minutes after closing. Most businesses would tell you are too late. Ace Endico really looks after the people who keep them in business. I can't thank that man who stayed on his own time, enough for what he did.”

Although parking is a hassle and they don’t open until 10am, they have many hard to find authentic Paraguayan frozen and fresh products which came in very handy for my daughter’s international day at school without the hassle of driving to Queens. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!!!”
