This is my favorite place in the whole world! I went to camp and school here and my mother worked in the nurses office and my brother was a camp counselor. The drama department is outstanding and I dream about the food to this day. I hope to return again someday and bring my kiddo to the fun!

Was here for a private event. What a beautiful space and under an hour from NYC! Lots of activities and the staff is friendly. Felt like I got to be a camper again for a day.

My son attended Camp Mohawk for many years and I was on the swim staff. This Camp has excellent staff, the training is thorough, (swim tests even given to the general counselors)-CPR and First Aid in addition to specialized training for their particular specialty area. The Director is always available on the camp property as are a fleet of nurses and health care staff. Camp is magical- with numerous special events and specialty calendar programming.

The best camp in all of westchester! The camp truly caters to every child’s hobbies with crafts, sports, swimming- anything you can imagine. It is impeccably run and organized and for those with allergies they have the best protocols of any camp I’ve ever seen. You truly get it all with Mohawk!

My 3 children just spent their first summer at Mohawk Day Camp and they can’t wait to go back next summer. Sending them there was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I’ve made as a parent. After my 10-year-old daughter’s challenging school year dealing with bullies, she made so many new friends at camp that she adored and felt comfortable trying new things with (rock wall climbing, the flying squirrel, and the high ropes course just to name a few). Her self-confidence skyrocketed and she can’t wait to add on the 1-week sleep-away option that’s offered by the camp next summer so she can go away with all of her new camp friends. She also loved the ability to build her own weekly schedule by selecting activities that she was the most interested in for her choice and elective periods. It definitely made her feel more independent and “like an adult” as she says, being able to spend more time doing the activities that she loves. My 6-year-old son who had no interest in sports prior to camp found his love for tennis (which we never would have thought of trying on our own) and he was so excited to work towards reaching new swimming levels. He would come home grinning from ear-to-ear each time he received his light-up card showing that he moved up. My son can also be very emotional at times and Amanda was a miracle worker. She found the best ways to help my son regulate how he was feeling and keep the fun going. My 3-year-old daughter began camp with a speech delay and ended camp talking non-stop despite her lapse in services over the summer. She came home singing so many cute songs (she’s still singing the watermelon song on a daily basis), and was so excited to tell me about what she did at camp that it definitely motivated her to try harder to formulate full sentences. And I know that my youngest is very strong-willed and can be very stubborn at times but her counselors were so patient with her all summer long. Not only was I receiving daily pics via the Mohawk App, but Valerin always made sure to communicate how my daughter’s day went which made me feel much more comfortable with her being there for full days at such a young age. Valerin also never gave up when my daughter refused instructional swim and would only participate during recreational (she was so used to just playing in pools prior to camp and definitely put up a fight at first). Valerin had the whole group cheering my daughter on and getting her excited to practice different swimming skills. The day she received her first moving up card, I actually found her hugging it in her sleep after she went to bed which was the cutest thing. She was so proud of herself.
Bottom line, if you want the absolute best summer experience for your child then send them to Mohawk! Between the endless daily activities, the awesome special events, and the phenomenal staff, your kids will have the time of their life! I couldn’t be happier with my decision to send my kids there this summer and they all can't wait to go back.

I find it ironic a camp that charges > 10k in tuition pays it's employees half that of minimum wage. They sneakily don't reveal this to potential employees - they put the gross summer pay in the employee contract which looks large at first but after analyzing the amount it is very small. If you are wanting to work as a camp counselor don't do it at Mohawk! There are TONS of places that pay a lot more - 15 dollars an hour at minimum - and aren't so strict with procedures. For example, if you use your phone twice to check the time or respond to an urgent message, you get fired per the staff handbook. Please, do your due diligence. There are plently of jobs out there. And parents, perhaps consider supporting a camp that pays its employees fairly.

I recently had an experience with Mohawk Day Camp that left me deeply concerned about the quality and safety of their programs. Here are several issues that I believe need addressing:
1. Lack of Supervision: During my child’s time at the camp, I noticed a significant lack of supervision. There were several instances where children were left unattended or were not adequately monitored, leading to potentially dangerous situations.
2. Unqualified Staff: It appeared that some of the camp counselors were not properly trained or experienced in handling children. This was evident in how they managed conflicts among campers and how they responded to minor injuries and emergencies. This made me angry and I attacked a staff member and now I’m stuck behind bars. I would not recommend.
