Better Business Bureau shut this place down. I had the same experience as the other customer who arrived on a Friday evening to be told the my reservation, which was made weeks in advance, could not be honored because of no car availability. I was told that I may need to wait a couple hours until a car was returned by another renter.

First off, 5+ stars for the guys working at this location who helped us. They made the best of a bad situation and kept a positive attitude even in the face of angry New Yorkers.0 stars or worse for the clowns in the corporate office who decided to try to force electric cars on people against their will. I specifically reserved a regular gas car even though electric was cheaper. After nearly 2 hours in line, they tell me all they have is electric. I rent a car while travelling for convenience, not to figure out how to charge some weird car in a hotel parking garage.I ended up getting a huge F150, the last and only gas vehicle they had.I was almost late to an important event because of the long wait and NOBODY WANTS TO RENT AN ELECTRIC CAR. If anyone from corporate is reading this, NOBODY WANTS TO RENT AN ELECTRIC CAR. Keep your agenda to yourself and give people what they want.

If I could this place would get negative stars. The representative who “helped” us was bored out of his mind, couldn’t care less, barely spoke to us and expected us to know when he wanted ID. He made me want to walk away from a prepaid rental, that’s how miserable he was.Second, our PREPAID rental was not available. WHAT?! We paid for an SUV and they tried to give us an electric car?! We were here for business and had some driving to do around NY/CT/NJ and the only option was an electric car that would only run for 250 miles. We opted to wait for the class of vehicle that we paid for. An hour later we were told an SUV was there so we went to pick it up. We had to wait another 45 min for it to be cleaned and serviced. Cleaned is an overstatement. We went inside and found sunglasses, phone chargers, old newspapers. Not to mention this was more like a large compact car and not an SUV. My 6ft husband could barely fit. Thank god we didn’t have any backseat passengers because our seats had to be all the way back in order to fit comfortably but we were already late for a meeting so just sucked it up.Long story short, the price may be appealing but the frustration is NOT worth it. Do yourself a favor and pay the Enterprise prices.

Worst experience ever renting a car! We arrived for our Paid reservation Friday night only to hear.."sorry but we don't have a car for you, may we can give you a compact", sir that is Not what I Paid for! He maintained if you don't take the compact car then you may have to wait 30-90 minutes at minimum..and wait for what he said.."hopefully you can get one".. the nerve..I called the manger & he said "what do you want me to do if people don't return cars, so let's HOPE that soneone returns the car"..what I want you to do is make sure when cars are prepaid that you will fulfill & honor your contract by having the car ready!Fast forward an SUV is the 1st car to be returned..they wanted to charge me another $45 per night..when we told him just give is the compact at that rate & we will accept a refund..but no refund, then we asked if we take this compact til the morning can we get our car then..he said it was not guaranteed..so our hands were tied. We are here from FL & we just wanted to sleep we took the SUV at $30.. this discount was not acceptable.. I will return to Budget because this same thing happened but we were provided with a free upgrade..Thrifty, your customer service is not aligned with others. You have definitely left a horrible taste in my mouth & my last interaction with you will be when we return our rental... I will never rent from this establishment again!!!

This was the worst rental experience. I called to extend my rental agreement and was instructed by customer service to go to the physical location due to the card that wasn’t used for the actual reservation wasn’t the card on file. The card on file was the credit that was suggested be use for the deposit. Doesn’t make sense as to why that one was being used when it was only used for the deposit. There is no record to me using my debit card to pay for the reservation. Which was the card that was used. When I arrived to the location the gentleman at the counter was very nasty and rude and dismissed me and said no I can’t help you in front of a line of customers and yelled pointed at the sign as I tried to explain to him I was told to come to the location. He dismissed me and yelled next to the following guest. I was embarrassed and I’ve never had such a poor encounter with customer service with a car rental company before. I would never recommend them. The price may work but if you’re looking to be told correct Information and to be helped and spoken to as a person I wouldn’t recommend. I wouldn’t give them any stars but I have to put one. The worst customer service ever.

Absolutely horrendous customer service experience. The front desk staff were unhelpful and even questioned our active military status by demanding our active duty orders because they didn’t believe we were in the military. It was outrageous and disrespectful.
