When I walked in, Jared came right over and greeted me - I told him what I needed in 2 separate men's button downs, and he provided tons of options and suggestions for styling the fit. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, the service and the ambience of Osteria Laguna. I will not hesitate to to return. It is a gem in the heart of mid-town Manhattan. Reasonably priced too! Pastas are made in-house.”
“I went to Sylvia to order a qipao for my wedding and she was wonderful. She was very accommodating and able to fit me into her schedule on short notice so I could look through her collection. Her daughter was present at my appointment to assist and they were both so friendly and helpful. The space is small, but they didn’t hover and allowed me time to look around at my own pace. I didn’t feel rushed at all. Sylvia took thorough measurements to ensure a good fit from the start. I didn’t need any further alterations after I picked up the qipao. The quality of the dress was stunning and looked so beautiful. I’m trying to find an excuse to wear it again!”
“womens items are on the ground floor while most men's items are in the basement showroom. if you shop alone, it's a good idea to go during prime time hours when the place is busy.
i was there midday midweek, and a male owner would not stop pestering me most likely because he did not want to appear to leave me alone while a female family member is elsewhere.
i completely respect this, but the inventory is packed in so tight in this relatively small store that you may need time to sift through a lot just to find the pattern fabric color size you had in mind.
so having some oldster pushing you into buying stuff you don't want is counter productive. if he's concerned about his family honor, then he should go hang out with them; not customers.”
