I went to A Purr-fect Fit looking to adopt a kitten. The first time I visited the shelter, no one greeted me when I walked in and it was not clear who the employees were. When asking questions about adopting a cat, I was getting very vague responses. Eventually I was able to foster a kitten which was great. About a week and a half after I took the kitten home, we noticed the kitten had a RINGWORM rash. These rashes take 10-14 days to appear on on an animal so she had it before I took her home. I found out after I dropped the kitten off the day before her neutering surgery, and I was told how great the cat looks. A few hours after I dropped the kitten off, I received a call that the kitten has ringworm. When I raised concerns about how it can spread to others I was told not to panic and to not look it up. I was told to pick the cat up the next day despite her having ringworm and when asked if they could keep looking after the cat until it's fully treated, the manager Kris said how she doesn't want to watch the cat for six weeks. I then asked how long is ringworm contagious in animals and she said something about how I should not worry and she is around ringworm all the time, avoiding the question and confirming that the kitten got ringworm from the shelter. After much consideration we decided we did not want to adopt the cat after reviewing ratings of the shelter, which we should've done before getting involved. It appears that a few cats gotten bacterial infections and sickness from being at this shelter. From the shelter manager not being concerned about ringworm because she's "AROUND RINGWORM ALL THE TIME", it brings concern about the sanitariness of the facility itself and how much they really care and look after the cats. I just got diagnosed with ringworm from my doctor today due to being in contact with a cat from this shelter and having a rash all over my neck and face. I advise you to look somewhere else to adopt a kitten or cats, because the overall customer experience at A Purr-fect Fit is terrible and YOU CAN GET RINGWORM. Kris the manager is a nasty woman who does not seem to truly care about the cats in the shelter and talks to people interested in giving these cats a loving home with no respect. Please choose a different shelter for a better experience and to ensure that your cat is in better condition than if you adopted from here. This has been a devastating experience for me, because I was so excited to get my first cat.

We recently adopted two kittens from the Purr-fect Fit. They were well taken care of, had all their shots and were spayed and neutered. We love our kittens!!! Thank you Purr-fect Fit!

Like someone said before if there was a zero star option they would be getting that. One star is too high for this place. My girlfriend adopted a cat from this place and the Director there is absolutely miserable, cold hearted, judgy, and down right disgusting/disrespectful. When we went to look at cats we brought my 5 year old son who loves animals. When we walked in we were never greeted (now thats not expected) but we were given a cold shoulder and employees there just looked at us like we were a problem. While my girlfriend was looking at the cats, my son was playing with a few of them, even an older man who works there joined my son. Took about 15-20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge we were there. Fast forward to the Director, when we meant her she already was judging my son. Told us to keep him a tight leash and he shouldn’t be playing with the cats. Mind you an employee was engaging with my son and playing with him and the cats, so obviously it wasn’t a big deal. The woman then became hostile and asked if my son lives with my girlfriend. Felt that is none of her business whats so ever. Broken my girlfriend’s heart saying he isn’t hers which she has known him since he was 1 years old. The woman told my girlfriend that if he did live with her she wouldn’t let my girlfriend adopt a cat. What if a child is autistic or has special needs, is she not going to allow a parent adopt a cat because of that which seems to be the case here. My son mainly lives with his mother who has 3 cats and few other animals so he is always around animals. The staff and especially the Director need a reality check and stay out of peoples personal lives. In conclusion; that place has you sign a form stating you are responsible for all vet bills the moment you walk out the door. Literally less than two days the cat had an eye infection. Even the vet stated he got it from the shelter and had it while there. Vet stated 80% of cats from shelters get infections. That place should not be in business. After jumping through several hoops i am happy my girlfriend found a cat and the cat is so loved and cared for.

Great place to find a new furry friend. Clean and fun environment, reasonably priced, and helpful staff. Great atmosphere to find that perfect fit for the family. We have recommended to three or four friends so far, the adoption process was a breeze.

Absolutely a perfect place to surrender and adopt kittens, and cats. They took in a stray cat that was lingering at my place and gave birth in my backyard vine bush. Took the momma and all her 5 kittens. The ambiance in general was great and all the cats that are out in the open are so sweet and well behaved.

Very nice shelter who truly know and care about their cats. The cats are free to roam and play within contained rooms thus, the cats are more socialized to people and other cats. The staff are observant as to ensure the safety of the cats at all times but are very helpful and friendly to all who visit. I highly recommend this shelter for cat/kitten adoption.

Just went here today, me and my roommate were looking for a cat to give a loving home to. As we both are college students when the woman working heard the news she immediately chuckled and sent us away saying she “doesn’t adopt to college students”. Which is fairly reasonable but didn’t care to inquire about our situation. As for me i do classes online and have a stable source of income. I would be completely available to care, love, and provide for an animal. I personally feel that there should have been more inquiry about our situation considering these animals deserve a loving home and it is unfair to deem someone incapable because they are getting an education. I found the woman running the place extremely rude, hostile, and unprofessional.

I applaud the staff for not wearing masks. They are proving not to work. Especially for a disease no worse than the common cold. The staff knows what I'm talking about!

I adopted Gemma, now Oreo, and she is the sweetest. The girls at the rescue were very helpful with someone who hung out there for over 2 hours trying to decide. The owner is nice but strict. This is very understandable, she wants to make sure the cats are going to responsible and caring homes. This was refreshing.Thank you for the cutest and sweetest cat.Lori

On my way home from work at 1 AM, I found this tiny kitten, staring at my headlights & meowing in the middle of the road! His eyes were closed shut with crusted gunk. I brought him home and search several rescues finding A-Purr-fect Fit.I called them when they opened & they were amazing!I brought the kitten to them & the staff was so kind and sweet. They cleaned his eyes and he was so hungry! They were all so excited to help the kitten! I knew immediately I made the right decision. The facility was clean and the you could see the free roaming kittens/cats they had were very loved and comfortable .Please if you’re looking to adopt, consider A-Purr-fect Fit!I am so grateful they were there for this kitten. Thank you to the staff !

A Purr-fect Fit Animal Rescue is filled with absolutely amazing, self-less, loving people! I went to a couple of different rescue centers just looking to volunteer and/or possibly adopt. Although, I can appreciate anyone helping animals, no rescue center was like this one. I instantly had such a good feeling being there. The volunteers were so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. They care so much for the animals and know them so well! The cats and kittens are incredibly well cared for and happy! Its very clean and so are the animals, which must be so hard to do, but they do it well. I can't say enough about Chris who helped us to foster and adopt two amazing kitties that have filled our days with joy! Her depth of caring is just selfless and her staff is the same way! They helped me know exactly how to care for my new little ones. They are comforting and wonderful people. My family will always support this center and we are forever grateful. They deserve the highest reviews and above! Thank you so much for what you guys do everyday! You go beyond saving animals, you give them love and happiness to them and the people you help in adopting.

OMGoodness THE nicest Animal Shelter I have ever been to. The owner was wonderful and very knowledgeable and the volunteers were great. All the kittens were roaming freely, not in cages. So chilled and relaxed. It was a homey feel, so the cats are easily acclimated when you bring them to their forever homes ?
