I see my review was taken down again. Oh well there is a laundry list of former employees that can tell you about the many bad issues they had. From pay to staffing and unreasonabl responsibilities.

Body Blocks is professional, State of the Art, science based, and relationship centered fitness. Their facilities are spotless as if you stepped into a brand new gym every day. The staff has an energy of passion, knowledge, and understanding helping those who are beginning, improving, or taking their fitness goals to the next level and beyond.

Not a horrible gym, location / parking a struggle in the plaza given BJ's and Walmart traffic. Need to study the off times can get very crowded with people that like to talk and not workout. NOBODY re-racks weights totally inconsiderate. Management and maintenance need to find new suppliers for paper towels and hand sanitizer as they are regularly out of stock.

Location, location. Best part of my new membership is that I can use two clubs, depending on where I am in the suburbs on a given day, as needed. I've used the Transit Rd club several times now. However, I joined at the Amherst club right after the New Year. Couldn't pass up the great rate. They make it affordable. No excuses to work out now! I especially like the group classes, at both clubs. Good instructors for cardio and abs, yoga and Zumba. Motivating me to get to the gym and make exercise part of my routine at least three times a week. No waiting around to use the equipment, they have plenty available. What I also like is the mix of members at both locations - young and old, men/women, cross cultural, folks with a variety of athletic abilities/fitness levels. If it was a gym for "model types" or Barbie dolls, as the name LA Fitness seems to give that connotation, I'd not be in LA by a long shot! Maybe they should call it Buffalo fitness??

I have heard so many bad reviews about this La fitness , about their cleanness, equipment quality and their group classes. I decided to ignore them all and give it a try. I was a member before and I rejoined them again with such a great rate! Their group class is really amazing. It drags me to the gym every day and is a source of motivation. Pool and spa is not the cleanest spa ever but it is OK. I would swim in there . Their customer service is the worse service I have ever seen in my entire life ! They are never helpful and reasonable ! They told us we add family member to our account with the same rate as us but a week after we opened our account they said there was a five day window limit to add them !!! If you don't care about customer service the gym is great. I personally try to limit my conversation with them as they do not even make sense and it bothers me but sometime we have to , right ?!

I have been a member for years and they have a great yearly package for life that can't be beat and can be used at other locations. They have yoga and spin classes along with enough machines that you generally don't have to wait, even on weekends. I'm a satisfied customer!!

Been an LA fitness member for the past 12 years and have worked out at several locations between NY and FL. This particular location is pretty well run. It's not overly crowded, and I have not had to wait on machines/equipment for more than a couple minutes at most, 90% of the time there is no wait. Staff seems pretty friendly from what little I've interacted with them. Unlike other locations, the personal training staff does not stalk you while you're lifting, which makes the facility much more comfortable to workout at. Locker rooms are relatively clean, with a rack of hangers for coats if you don't want to use a locker, specifically. I haven't used the basketball courts, sauna, shower or pool, so I can't make any comments on those. Overall, I'm happy with this location.

***forgot to mention .. long walk to the bathroom if you're a water guzzler like me. Also, people rarely clean the machines after use because you have to take a walk to a paper towel dispenser with foam cleaner, clean the machine, then walk back to the garbage every time. And not to mention, how bad on the environment! Note to gym: Invest in washer/dryer, hand towels, and spray bottles! That's what my last gym did and it worked like a charm; then again, your staff would never keep up on it. ***update*** well, I have been an member here a year and a half and I finally have sent in my cancellation form and signed up for the new Planet Fitness coming May 31st. This gym has been the worst gym I've been to in the 20 years and countless cities I have lived in. The staff only says hi or bye about 10% of the time. It's dirty, especially at the end of the night: over flowing trash bins and empty paper towels. The cardio equipment is always dirty too with crap in the cup holders - and I have noticed that same crap left for days in the same cup holders! All of the cardio have their own personal TVS, so if you're like me and enjoy a break from screen time and just want to listen to your music, you get to stare at a big black screen the whole time! Ridiculous. I can't wait to be at the new Planet Fitness and actually WANT to go to the gym again. ********** I have been waiting to review LA Fitness in hopes of trying EVERYTHING before leaving a review, but at this point, I have yet to try a class, the pool, or hot tub. The locker rooms are nice and so is the sauna. They're pretty clean and the locker room is very large. There are showers (but I never use them because I live right around the corner and just go to and from my house). The gym itself has so many machines and free weights. I love this. I never really get bored because there are so many options. My only issue is that many of the elliptical and some treadmills make annoying sounds or feel off-balance or you might feel a strange sensation on one of the pedals of the ellipticals; I've figured out which cardio machines are problem-free and stick with those. Occasionally the garbages might over-flow or paper towels/foam soap may run out but I haven't found a huge or consistent problem with this.. but it is annoying when it happens. The personal training is great but EXTREMELY over-priced! I only joined under the condition of getting 16 bonus sessions, but I guess that wasn't even supposed to be done - I got lucky. There is no way in hell I would pay their asking price. They make you pay a fee to join the program and then charge outrageous prices for the sessions. It's a shame because I would love to stay with the training program but I won't continue once my contract is up. The most ridiculous thing about this gym is that they don't have WiFi! I have Sprint as a carrier and as soon as I go in the building I can't use my phone for anything except music I've downloaded. I don't hate this gym, but they could make a few changes that could really make a big difference. I think the biggest issue with this gym is a lack of passion from many employees (I'm comparing this to my old gym).

LA Fitness really needs to provide it's members with WiFi. I would love to work out to music, but my data plan won't allow that. Insides of lockers need to be cleaned more often. Also, it would be nice to see trash recepticles emptied on weekends. I am otherwise enjoying my membership. Haven't used the pool yet, but I plan to in the future.

I've been going to various gyms for the better part of 30 years and find the Transit Rd. facility of LA Fitness one of the best run operations in the area. There is plenty of top notch equipment and it is well maintained - I've never waited for a machine. The staff is friendly with lots of fitness classes and the people using the facilities are courteous. I joined 4 months ago and was concerned by the negative comments I read on-line and found most/all to be fake.

Reasons why LA Fitness will never receive my Business. You call asking one simple question about their plan and they blow up your phone with messages (getting your name wrong in the process) and will NOT stop until you sign a contract with them even if you SPECIFICALLY ask to be taken off a call list. I WANTED to sign up with LA Fitness initially, but also wanted to shop around and make sure I was getting the best deal. LA Fitness was actually the best option and yet I will NEVER sign up with them because they HOUNDED my phone like a psycho disgruntled ex-boyfriend that just couldn't let go. Guess I need a new number now. Oh and by the way thanks for also looking up my mother's name and trying to get me to believe SHE also called to inquire about membership. She lives Four hours away. Nice. F***ing. Try.

Sanitation and cleanliness continue to be a challenge for the LA Fitness on Transit Road. The men's locker room and showers are not well maintained; there is mildew on the shower tile. For reasons that are not clear, all the hand sanitizers were removed from the gym area. I had assumed they were going to be replaced but this hasn't been the case. With the advent of another flu season, the decision to remove hand sanitizers is odd and contrary to an organization that supports health and wellness.
