Bought a brand new Playstation 4 controller for my son 7 months ago with the warranty guaranteeing that if anything happens to the controller within a year it can be replaced with a brand new one no questions asked. The controller was not working properly so we went to take it back. I was then told there was a policy change without notice and that instead of receiving a new controller in return, that we would be getting an old dirty refurbished one. Absolute joke. Why pay 80 dollars for a new controller than in the first place. Just another chain of stores to be closing due to bad business. Too bad. Stick to Amazon or Walmart.

THEY WILL KNOWINGLY SELL YOU FAKE AND BROKEN PRODUCT. Staff is extremely rude and WILL try to scam you. When I pointed out to staff that the Pokémon game they had in stock was a reproduction they argued with me. I showed them the inconsistency’s with the cartridge ( cartridge was grey not black, it was not translucent, label color clearly wrong ) they proceeded to prioritize their profits and “disagree” after I showed numerous examples. This is a nearly $100 game that is being knowing sold as authentic, when staff know it is a cheap $5 reproduction huge difference in value. This is one of many examples I’ve had with this specific location over the last 12 months. Being a patron for 15+ years at this location it’s sad to see how much it has fallen due to terrible management and staff that doesn’t care about anyone whatsoever. Go to literally any other location except here, the people at the Lockport location are way nicer and helpful with basic morals.

Drove here just to find out they are closed? During the middle of the day? I looked it up online before I went as well and it said they were open

Rude staff. This location and niagara falls blvd in Amherst have the rudest staff that make going into store the worst experience every single time. Literally left this store getting nowhere with a return and being belittled by an employee after initially being completely ignored. I should not be the first person saying hello when walking in to your store. Then was corrected on gender pronouns mid conversation "we don't use gender pronouns in this store" with attitude. There is a kind way to educate the public. Drove all the way to university plaza where my issue was handled professionally and I was out the door in 5 minutes with no problem....and a smile from all employees.

Not what it used to be. Service is meh, and the selection is very small.

Don't even bother going. This place is truly garbage. Save yourself a headache and being lied to and stolen from and just order the exact same things online with better warranties AND for cheaper prices on both new and used items. They have almost nothing in stock and will have to order it. Their employees have incredibly limited knowledge of their products. Their so-called "guarantee" on their equipment is a blatant lie and only serves to rob even more from the customers. I recently tried to claim their equipment guarantee and was told that it wasn't their fault that they sold me a NON-WORKING game controller and the only thing they could do was exchange it for an even more expensive controller where I'd have to pay the difference AND pay extra for the coverage AGAIN and NOT be refunded the protection plan that I paid for FOR JUST SUCH AN OCCASION!!!! I gave them one last chance to correct the problem. They haven't. They probably never will and I feel a fool for expecting they would care about their customers. They will lie to you and steal from you and smile to your face while doing so. I have been fleeced of thousands and I swear they will NEVER get another dime of mine. Think twice before going here.It bears repeating... This place is truly garbage.?????

What you would expect from a typical GameStop. Good old cookie cutter replicant of all the rest.

Check you receipts the staff doesn't know how to use the sales system. Last visit they tried to charge me full price for a used game, I had to correct the employee. This time they tried to charge me for a racing wheel I declined to purchase I again had to correct the employee. On the same purchase they then charged me for a warranty that I declined. The employee looked at the receipt said that's weird and handed it to me anyway.

GameStop doesn’t test to see if their used games work which means when they don’t work you have to run around like a chicken with its head cut off to other gamestops to swap out the gaming hoping that copy will work but of course it’s all in vein because that copy doesn’t work as well. So then you get the refund for the initial cost of the game but the $8.50 you spent on the multiple warranties are wasted as well as your time and gas.
