I have been banking with M&T for years now. But I have never had to do, any sort of banking with them inside. All my banking is done online, or at the ATM. This visit was for the ATM. The ATM is located in the lobby, and after hours you need to swipe in to get inside. I like that security feature, plus it’s well lit.

My dad has an account here and I am his (POA). The banker I was doing business with on behalf of my dad was very rude and extremely unprofessional.

This bank is completely incompetent of helping with a mortgage. After getting misinformation from the mortgage officer, costing me thousands of additional dollars. I have made several attempts to contact this person. No answer, no return calls, no nothing. Finally got a manager involved, then received a call back. My concerns and issues that arose from misinformation were simply blown off. Now I still try to make contact with no success. Hard to believe this person is getting paid to do a job. Incredibly disappointed, dissatisfied, aggravated, frustrated, and unfortunately, stuck dealing with them.

It's a good bank to use if you direct deposit like myself. The tellers however are a bit slow when I do have to go inside. Luckily it's not very often. I don't have a car so I don't use the drivethru. They do have a 24/7 ATM which is locked via card. (It's your bank card you insert as a key) I really like this feature and it feels like it has an added safety to using the ATM, especially at night.

I have to do banking often and I usually go around lunchtime. The drive-through is always backed up, and inside the bank is no better. You are lucky if there are two people working between the drive-through and inside the bank. The wait time is always long.

I have now been in the drive thru line 22mins. Average time at the window per car 11 minutes. Unacceptable.

While I absolutely love M&T overall, my feelings about this branch are mixed. When I went in to open my account, I was helped by the most wonderful associate who had a great sense of humor while maintaining professionalism. I trusted her and appreciated the time she took with me and my husband. But when I recently visited to deposit a check, it was a nightmare. I realize it's possible they are short-staffed. Everyone seems to be these days. But at the time I arrived - late morning - there were just two tellers behind the counter. One appeared to be working drive-thru.The line was pretty long. I don't mind waiting in a line, but I do wish it were more evident where to stand while waiting. I entered through the doors to the north, but the solitary line seemed to be curved toward the south entrance. There was a guy standing between me and the line, so I waited kind of behind where he was standing. Not long after I entered, a customer entered through the south doors. He got in what looked like "the line." Then another woman entered behind him. Finally the guy ahead of me told me he wasn't in line, so I walked to the back of the line - behind the two people who entered after I did. Eventually someone opened the window reserved for business transactions and helped get the line moving. All in all, I waited 25 minutes to deposit a check. Sadly, it would have taken just as long at the drive-thru and I'd have burned through my expensive gas sitting in line outside.I understand things have changed with Covid. I get that everyone is short workers. And this is a really large branch, so it might be a good idea to close off one of the entrances to customers so that everyone is coming through the same door. Or make it extremely evident with signage where to stand/how to form the line.

Do not use this bank for a mortgage. They are the most incompetent individuals I have ever worked with in 15 years of practicing real estate. Over 45 days in escrow and they still cannot get their borrower closed. This transaction has been extended 5 times now all due to their inability to do their jobs and get loans closed. Sellers shouldn't even consider accepting an offer from a buyer who submits a pre approval letter from this bank.

I came in to close an account and sat in the waiting area as usual. I was the only one waiting, but then someone walks in a banker walks up to them and takes care of them first. If you can't see people waiting then reorganize your setup. Then more problems trying to retrieve my check because they accidentally did a "multiple transaction" thing. Basically, my account is closed and they can't give me my check yet. I'm now waiting over an hour that should take no more than 5-10 minutes. No apology and my banker didn't even come back to me. Another banker directed me to another part of the bank and wait. Glad I'm closing my account from this crappy account.

Very busy and active drive thru. This was well plowed after a snow storm. Large interior with tons of employees. Very busy. Weirdly I had to wait a long time on line when there were tons of tellers doing other things. Maybe because it was 9:15 am. There does seem to be some construction happening, perhaps a "face lift" for the space. Remains a beautiful building. 20190205U

Huge standalone impressive building right near Main and Transit. It does look solid from the outside and from the inside it's clearly a bank. Very secure and solid. Easy parking. Rarely a line. 3 stars for this chain. But it looks nice.
