Orvis is a highly regarded store known for its extensive selection of fishing, hunting, and outdoor gear. Many customers appreciate the knowledgeable staff, especially the team of Adams, who are well-versed in local fishing spots and gear. The store offers a wide range of products, including fly rods, reels, bags, clothing, and even dog beds and toys, all made in America, which is important to many families. Visitors often mention the excellent customer service provided by the staff, who are passionate and eager to share their expertise. The store is a popular spot for learning, offering free fly tying and fly fishing classes, with instructors like Adam Slivinski and others delivering informative and engaging lessons. Customers have enjoyed attending these classes, often losing track of time due to the engaging presentations. The store’s environment is welcoming, making it a great place for beginners and experienced anglers alike. Despite its many positive aspects, some customers feel the store is losing its prime location and suggest that a smaller space focused solely on fishing and hunting gear could serve the business better. Overall, Orvis is viewed as a gem in the area, appreciated for its knowledgeable staff, quality products, and community-oriented approach. It remains a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.
Love this store. I’ve bought all my wading gear and stealhead rods etc from these folks. I’m really bummed we’ll be loosing this store and feel like Orvis would be better served just getting a smaller space in a better location that focused on the fishing and hunting gear. WNY is loosing a gem.

I attended a steelhead class. Adam Slivinski gave a great presentation. Very informative about gear, tactics, etc. So interesting that I never once looked at my watch to check the time in nearly 2 hours. Great job.
