So , this review is unusual as I've have had Korean food once in Ballymena,County Atrium Ireland or UK ,and it was not good .So , when I visited my mom's two days ago and proceeded to take out her orders I was hesitant .Until , I first saw the chic noodle soup And the long homemade noodles , the broth was amazing .the entree had at least 6 extras that you can add as you like , pickled cucumbers, broccoli on grill , beets marinated , all of them had us cheating and eating them by hand B4 adding to the beef and rice , you don't get an American quantity of meat , you get the Korean balanced amount with the dish and extras your eating ,it's a good lesson in how we should eat everything . I ate that meal for 3 days for lunch , and it was fantastic everytime , the textures are what overwhelmed me , crunchiness of sprouts ,so fresh and cooked so differently . I've had an Asian experience like this one time and unfortunately it was a Chinese restaurant , because I've spent 20 years trying to get another main entree where the cook is cooking because he enjoys it and also has the talent to add to dishes . 99% of the Chinese restaurants in Buffalo are bad , but we're too ignorant to even know and rebel against them . So , I'm giving my allegiance to Korean food now and a new quest to discover more of them and their dishes .

We walked in and were instantly greeted and provided menus to look at (since it's our first time here). You can sit at a regular table and have your food prepared, or sit at the other tables where you cook it yourself. Now, I personally go out to eat to avoid doing ANYTHING so we chose a regular table. For drinks there are coke and Pepsi products in a can. I didn't look at the other beverages to speak more on this. My company enjoyed his chicken teriyaki, I enjoyed my (butterflied) shrimp teriyaki. It comes with rice and some other things on the side if you would like (such as broccoli or kimchi). Also came with soup (more of a broth) that was very good! The environment is more low-key/casual/lack-luster. But the food is good and something different. Everyone that served us was friendly but not over-bearing (doesn't come over to your table constantly, but nearby and at your service anytime needed). If you prefer a fork over chopsticks, just ask, as you are automatically provided chopsticks and a spoon.

Very sad to leave this review. Seems like new ownership and food quality has gone out the window. I ordered Tteok-bokki and it tasted store bought, it was so bad I couldn't even eat it. It's been months since my husband and I have been able to come here and this used to be one of our favorite restaurants under the old ownership. Friday nights would be packed with non-stop takeout orders. Under the new ownership it speaks for itself, restaurant is half empty with almost no takeout orders. Service is also awful, seems like the new owner is the only server.

My new favorite restaurant in Buffalo is Woo Chon Korea House.I got warm vegetables/rice/chicken in a stone bowl. Along with the main dish you get refillable sides which include: Kimchi, mashed potatoes, fish sticks, pickled cucumber, bean sprouts and soup. The service was excellent. Staff is friendly and attentive.

A great place for a 4-5 family dinner. The place is different than any other around Buffalo.

Great food, Only complaints with the Korean bbq for 2 is that we could have been give more rice. Service wasn’t bad but for non body in the place it wasn’t the greatest. If you don’t order drinks they wont offer. Place has hole in the wall vibes. If your in the mood and this place is close I would go again.

My husband and I were in the Buffalo area and craving Korean food. This place came up in our search, so we went. It's pretty dingy outside and inside, but the food and service is GREAT! They give you plenty of side dishes. Portions are appropriate for the price. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

Make reservations for the BBQ table! There were 3 of us. We ordered the Korean BBQ for two and the butterfly shrimp plate and shared everything. You get lots of sides, soup, rice, cucumber, broccoli, BBQ sauce, garlic and green peppers, fresh lettuce leaves to make wraps. Very fresh, very delicious. You cook everything on the grill that's built into the table. We left quite full. We ordered the dumplings for an appetizer and shared. What a fun and delicious experience!

Great place to get some good Korean. Atmosphere not really the best and can do better but it’s good atmosphere for in which the location of the restaurant. Service is outstanding and other restaurants should be taking notes/advice from places like this because the servers are constantly coming to the table to make sure everything is going good during the course of the dinner. I recommend getting the bulgogi, glass noodles, and scallion pancakes.
