I had an amazing experience at Tomy B. Hair Salon! Being I was new to the salon, I first scheduled a consultation. Tomy is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient—he truly cares about his clients. Booking was super easy, and the entire staff is focused on making sure you leave with beautiful healthy looking hair. I’m so impressed with the results and the service. Highly recommend!

Tomy and his team brought my dry, brassy colored hair back to life. My hair has never felt or looked healthier and my blonde has never looked so good! I took a shot in the dark with this salon and could not be happier that I did. Thank you guys!!

I’ve been coming to the salon for many years and honestly the best salon.
Tomy is one in a million ..hands down a true stylist and knows exactly what your hair needs. I will never go elsewhere for coloring.. haircuts.. or any treatment. (Love the lipid and collagen for strengthening and defrizzing). The products they sell are all amazing and help make my hair look it’s best.
I recommend salon for all hair types… you’ll always be 💯 satisfied.

Went to Tomy B. Salon and I wanted highlights to brighten my hair. When I got there Tomby said you need collagen & Lipid treatment and I agreed because my hair was dry. Went again about high lights they put color remover did not do anything and did my base color which is so dark with lipid treatment which did not do a thing. They gave me this bull that they work in steps and it costs so much and my hair will look great. Went again asked about high lights.. again Oh its a process. This place is a rip off. I went someplace else and it was not a problem did my base which should not be so dark as they did color remover which actually worked and high lights and toner. In ONE DAY. TOMY B IS A RIP OFF...PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY>

Tomy B is fantastic especially for hair which has been damaged or for hair loss, also scalp issues. No one else does what they do! My hair was coming out by handfuls and after going to Tomy B for a short time, the shedding stopped. My hair and scalp are back to how they were years ago!

The disgusting male owner at this salon was extremely rude and insulting. We were looking for a salon near home for approximately 15 people since we are having a family event soon. We were there for a consultation and he never asked what services we were interested in. Instead he assumed and his first sentence was, “THIS hair is so hard to work with and you don’t know how to do your own hair”. He also kept repeating it until we felt horrible. What stylist or business owner does that? I will continue to commute to the city for my salon because although this one is more conveniently located near my home, I would never step in there again to deal with a scam artist who within 5 minutes is trying to tell me my hair is horrible and I need his products and expensive treatments. He never even introduced himself or had a conversation about what I as a customer needed. He just went straight into criticizing me and my hair. I am still in shock that he would operate a business that way. If he cannot deal with very curly hair then be a gentleman and professional. Do Not insult or berate people. Do not list yourselves as curly hair experts and then criticize a customer’s curls by referring to their hair as “This hair”. When someone walks into a salon they are not expecting to have this type of belittling interaction. And btw, he should also learn to keep his hands to himself. If you aren’t doing my hair do not touch my arms or shoulders or anything. Is he not aware of that? He is a slimy and disgusting individual who has somehow managed to con enough people into using his salon. The one star is only there because otherwise I can’t post a review.

I set up an appointment for my wife's birthday and it was supposed to be a surprise. I asked them the price to pay in advance! They said we can't we have to do a consultation! No problem, after taking my information they said they wanted my wife's information for "scheduling purposes". They then text my wife about the appointment.
I contacted them about the issue and they said it's their system that generated the message. I said if that was the case why didn't you just enter my information into the system. I asked them if they would accommodate me for their blunder.
They then responded, "Would you like to cancel the appointment? We don’t appreciate the conversation and have cancelled the appointment. We don’t feel we would be a good fit . Hope she has a wonderful beitjsua"
Wow! What customer service, I will definitely be telling the people about this experience!
If they even offered a complimentary glass if wine or something I would've been fine.
Now I have to figure out another resolution to make up for all of this and hope I can fit in another hair appointment in time for al the other activities I had planned for that day!
If this is indicative of their operation count me out! Deplorable!

No threats were made! I simply asked to be accommodated for your mistake. You canceled my appointment after; without me confirming a cancelation!
I didn't threaten you with anything! I left my review after the fact.
Simply showing your colors by still not trying to resolve your mistake. Like I said deplorable. You are not the victim in all of this; I am. I hope others can take caution before seeking any service from you.

I have been a client at Tomy B’s salon for nearly 25 years. He is a Master at every level- from cut to color to treatments that repair and nourish one’s hair. Tomy B has a product line that he has created single-handedly, all of which are excellent- color formulas do not smell, lipid treatments are wonderful and I will only use his brand of shampoos and conditioners. The entire salon experience at TomyB’s is exquisite- always. He is a hair genius.

I’m a new client here so my experience is limited, but I’ll say a few things so far… first off, everyone is super welcoming, friendly, and personable. Even the environment is “fun”. Makes any experience more pleasant. I came for a consultation 1st, where Tomy recommended collagen & lipid treatment. I was very skeptical, but I was asked to return in a week to see how it was going. Tomy repeated the lipid treatment (no charge), so I decided to try the coloring process too. Clearly I’m showing my trust ??. I was asked to return in a week again, not required, but just to see how it’s going, and I’m noticing the beginning of the elasticity change. Note: I have dry curly hair, which was breaking. I was able to take my hair out of a pony and wear open in the middle of the day! A few stay greys were noted and covered ( no charge). I will be returning in a month for another lipid treatment. I’m hoping for great things!

The BEST experience in a salon. I was losing my hair in large clumps on my first visit . Tomy was very reassuring that he could help me .Within the first two months , the difference was amazing . Not to mention my dry frizzy hair was now smooth due to the collagen and lipid treatments which they provide. The staff is also so friendly and accommodating. It's like family when you are there. I especially recommend it for anyone with hair issues. Thank you Tomy, Jill, and staff .

I have been coloring my hair for years because of greys and it had become so thin and brittle. Five months ago I walked into this salon and said just cut it all off, I thought my hair had changed bc I am in my late 40's. Tomy said No, we can fix this, trust me. I did and in just 5 months my hair is thicker, shiny, healthier and I have actually gotten compliments on my hair.
He just did highlights and I have never loved my hair more, thank you!

This place is a whole VIBE. Not only did I have an amazing cappuccino, conversation, and service but I also have made friends for life. Speaking as someone who has had their hair done by professionals in Manhattan, Miami, and Toronto - I won't let anyone but Tomy B. And his staff touch my hair with scissors AND product! This man is the real deal. He took me step by step through the process of what my hair needed and how his unique product line (privately owned by himself!! And double checked for quality assurance!!) could solve most of my issues. When I arrived, I sat in his chair defeated. I begged him to "cut it all off." He touched my hair once and said "you have beautiful hair! I can save it." The best thing I could have ever done for myself (as a measure of self care and maintenance) was trust Tomy and his staff to meet and surpass my expectations. I truly was shocked and impressed. I went from playing with my endless amount of split ends and hardwire dry length to hair that felt like BUTTER. This place is gold, and more than that, a family. If you can snag an appointment - DO IT!!! Worth every penny AND it's on Long Island!!!
