“This review is for the online experience only, but have no doubt that the antique and jewelry store is just as wonderful! My boyfriend and I recently purchased my wedding ring from here and am so thrilled I stumbled upon the piece! It was on Pinterest that I first saw a similar ring Russell had created and after doing some digging found Erie Basin's online store. I of course was hesitant purchasing a diamond online having not seen it first, so contacted Russell who took the time to discus my concerns via phone. Once the purchase was made, the resizing took only hours and he shipped it to me overnight. Everything was super smooth and stress less and the ring is exactly what I wanted- vintage, simple, classic. Erie Basin has a customer for life in me!”
“The Missing Link is a gem in NYC. I went in to find cufflinks and a stud set as accessories on a tuxedo for my wedding; the collection was incredible and I found the perfect, unique pieces. I had been to several department stores where the selection was lacking, but not here at The Missing Link. The experience was enhanced by Michael who was engaging, patient, and courteous. Highly recommend.”
“Got me inside my apartment after being LOCKED OUT FOR HOURS! My super was unresponsive but glad I found these guys. In and out in less than half an hour as well. Will return the favor by recommending them”
“I truly appreciate Remix Market for your generosity with teachers. I was able to pick up a desk chair and a shelves piece for my books. All items seem to be in very good condition. Thank you again.”
“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”
“Had a fantastic experience with Stuart at White Trash. Was walking past their store mid COVID, gazed through the window and loved what I saw. Went on their site and inquired about a LeRoy Neiman sketch, within two days Stuart had responded to me, we made the transaction and he delivered to my apartment building in the lower east side.”
“I had followed Salt Lizard on Instagram for quite sometime and finally had the opportunity to visit the store. The owners are incredibly friendly, the store is spacious with abundant natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unlike typical antique stores, Salt Lizard's curated selection eliminates the digging through dusty junk without having a "Do not touch!" vibe. The prices are within reach, offering a range of fine antiques from furniture to tableware and rugs. A gem for antique enthusiasts!”
“Lawrence was very kind and did a phenomenal job re-wiring my Art Deco chandelier. It was done very professionally and quickly too. I highly recommend him for antique lighting re-wiring / repair! This guy knows his stuff. Thanks again”
“An amazing array of silverware from various countries and eras. Definitely worth a visit in person (as I did when I was recently in New York) or via their eBay store. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge after many years in the industry.”

“WowBeen ages since I was last here and the place is as I remembered- super friendly and helpful staff. The “technician” restrung my beads (that kept breaking) on the spot for less than $10! And what an improvement given the various choices she offered . And with a guarantee to come back if it fails/falls off.Def will be back with other beads in my vast collection. Go here first and only!!”
“Incredibly special place. The kindest family ever has been running this shop for many generations. One of the family members talked to me about the history of the shop and his family and it was such an honor to hear their story.”
“Adam assisted me with some items, he was very professional and extremely knowledgable in his expertise. He has a very rare and skilled eye. I loved working with adam and felt very safe and informed. Highly recommend!”

“Came here with my husband on Sunday and it was so nostalgic for us. It took me back to my childhood and I enjoyed walking all throughout the house. Dan was really nice and chills and made us feel comfortable.”
“A fantastic antique shop filled with an antique collector's dreams. The staff member was kind, patient, and the prices were kind to my wallet. I am a postcard and CDV collector. :)”
“Very nice store with interesting pieces. Staff was happy to answer questions and were honest about additional costs if was to have my new bench delivered. I would recommend this to anyone looking for solid older pieces of furniture or décor.”
“Excellent vintage and antique shop; you’d have to enter and explore. Chris’ shop contains phenomenal indigenous artisan jewelry, cultural home decor, and authentic creations overall. Welcoming, and fun atmosphere inside a community thrift shop that has an item for everyone!”
“Fantastic customer service, easy to order online, quick turn around time and a beautiful product!
I needed help ordering a lampshade for a vintage glass lamp I inherited from my mom. I had no idea where to begin so I reached out through Illume’s website. They gave me guidance in ordering the perfect lampshade! Thank you!”
“Coolest guy I ever met! Seriously Vieira gave my 10 yo son free coins to encourage him, and willing to share his knowledge with a little boy. How cool is that! Now my son is more serious in the hobby because of him, and I'd love to go back there and recommend this place to anyone into coin collection!”
“Incredible gem in East village. I came in to get advice on my meditation practice and the owner was very knowledgeable. He spent ample time with me providing deeper insight. They even have a meditation room. Can’t wait to visit.”
“After finding this store online several years ago, and talking cross-country to Jimmy several times - it was such a joy to come and spend an hour or more looking at and trying multiple pens my husband and I were considering. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - it felt like an hour spent with friends! We bought several items for ourselves and at least one gift!”
“Evan, the owner, helped me find the perfect jewelry for my wedding. I had so much fun in the process and couldn't be happier with what I took home! Don't miss this shop!”

“I purchased some items at auction and due to some unique circumstances on my end I had to pick them up sooner than normally allow. The owner went above and beyond to communicate with me and accommodate my request so that I could receive my purchases in time. I was very pleased with the service as well as with the quality of the purchased items. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again!”
“I echo the other reviewers: wonderful store with a unique selection of quality products coupled with personalized customer service. THIS is what NYC should be made of, instead of chase banks and weed shops on every corner. The prices are a bit higher, but it's nothing crazy, and let's please remember that you get what you pay for. And if you want nyc to retain some of its character on at least one little corner in this city, please -- pretty please -- stop over and purchase something from this lovely little shop.”

“We needed an appraisal for our mother's furniture and everything else, since she had to move to another state. Robert came over and gave us an honest estimate and also great advice about how to proceed. He is very professional and personable person and we recommend him to everyone in the antiques market. Gene and Danielle Allen”
“Nice stuff to look at but I came in looking for a specific thing and I got it! I was looking for a coffee cup and saucer and I found a nice one and the owner provided useful information for us. I think it was a good price for each set.”
“This store is quite a find! It is an antique store, jammed full of treasures... mostly glass objects, some larger furniture display cases (all filled with things), rhinestone jewelry, occasionally some unique clothing and much more for you to discover. The store has been there for nearly 50 years and Betty Jo, the owner, is almost always there to answer any questions and tell you where she got everything. (Her memory is amazing, for a 94 year old, plus she's just a delight.) I suggest stopping by and just browsing for awhile, because there's lots to see and discover... at very reasonable prices. As they always say: When in doubt, check it out.”
“This bookstore found me. And every since then it’s been calling me back. I walked in and was met with the smell of the alphabet and maps from every country in the world. I was allowed to peruse the first floor without being pressured and that felt good because walking in can be intimidating.Everyone there was helpful and I was directed to the second floor by means of a turn of the century elevator. Maps on this floor were organized smartly and you must ask for assistance before taking them off the shelf.I would encourage you to check out their website so you have an idea of what you are looking for before arriving. They also have volumes online that may not be in store at the current time but they have access to from their warehouse.”
“I went in here & felt foolish living nearby and never coming going in. Sonam, the owner was very nice and even showed me how to using the scrying bowl(look it up & see what it does) they have lots of clothes from Tibet & surrounding countries. Best of all, it was all low priced & affordable. Lots of sculptures from miniature to very large in shapes of animals,Buddha and even Julius Caesar & Lincoln! Incense & their holders, sage, jewelry, crystals. But there’s too many too list and my pics didn’t capture everything. So drop by if you can you won’t be disappointed.”
