“Fantastic! I purchased my dress from David's bridal and reading about the horrific reviews (as well as alterations i wanted) i found Marina on Google maps. She was super accommodating with the time and helped me with everything I needed. She bustled my dress and added on embroidery on my dress straps (the straps were plain and davids bridal told me I had to purchase my own embroidery for them to put it on). She also was able to steam out my dress which I was very worried going to a place I had no idea about. Overall, Marina was very helpful and knowledgeable. Also, she used to be a bridal dress seamstress so SHE IS an expert!”

“Everyone at sew elegant was so kind! The only reason I’m removing a star is because of the price. I initially was quoted $1100 for taking in the waist ($500) and the hem ($600) for one dress, and another $600 for hemming a second dress. I decided I did not want to get any hemming done on both dresses, and just wanted my waist taken in for one dress. Suddenly, the price jumped from $500 to $750 since I was just getting the waist taken in. I asked for a cash discount and ended up paying $700 in cash to get just the waist taken in (not including the hem) for one dress - which was much pricier than expected. I’m thinking that it’s just NYC pricing and maybe I should have done more research beforehand. Just something to note for brides planning on visiting this tailor. Everyone is so kind and professional though. Also love how the dress turned out! Cannot wait for my big day :)”

Adrienn was so kind to see me through the process of trying on different dresses, altering the dress I selected, and putting final touches on it. I was totally overwhelmed by the process of finding a wedding dress, and had started looking “late” by industry standards. I had googled a few bridal shops one day as I was panic browsing in Soho and saw I was steps away from one- Viero- that I’d never heard of and knew nothing about. I popped into the building and went straight up to their studio, to see if I could schedule an appointment. I met Diana who was so kind and helpful and the rest is history! The process of finding my dress there was so pleasant and easy. Diana and her team are lovely and accommodating and they truly helped me find a dress that made me feel beautiful.”

“I cannot recommend The Hanbok enough! I went through Jasmine and The Hanbok team for my mom and mother-in-law's hanboks for my wedding. The hanboks were absolutely stunning, and both moms received so many compliments from family, friends, and other guests on the wedding day.

Jasmine and her team are so knowledgeable and talented - they helped customize the hanboks, so that it was perfect for each person. My mom had a specific color and design in mind, and Jasmine was able to bring my mom's vision to life. My mother-in-law was wearing a hanbok for the first time, and was not familiar with styles or colors that would best suit her. The Hanbok team guided her through the different styles and colors recommended for the summer season, and together, they designed a beautiful hanbok. Most importantly, both moms not only looked amazing, but also felt amazing, and there really isn't a better feeling than that :) Whether you've worn many hanboks in the past or you're looking to wear one for the first time, Jasmine works with you to create the most special hanbok for your occasion.

“One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was working with Sydney as our day of coordinator. 1-2 months before the wedding, Sydney sent us a spreadsheet to help plan the smallest logistical details in the wedding, and where she saw gaps, she explained what we needed and offered her advice. Sydney always made herself available to hop on a call and was very responsive throughout our entire process. She was fantastic in keeping track of every email for months and created the perfect timeline for our wedding.

On the day of our wedding, Sydney was a true force of nature -- my mom described her as a warrior. She was ready with tide wipes when my dress got smudges during the first look. Sydney set up the ceremony and reception impeccably (and, when there was a problem, she informed me, offered me her thoughts and just dealt with it). She allowed me to just sit back and enjoy my own wedding. She exceeded all our expectations in every way.

“I bought my wedding dress at Veka Bridal for a November 2024 wedding and had a wonderful experience from start to finish! When looking at dresses, the experience at Veka was such a lovely change from most other bridal shops. The 1-on-1 attention in the small, cozy shop felt personal and calming, while most other larger stores felt impersonal and overwhelming. Veka has beautiful and unique dresses not available at any other NYC shops, including my dream dress (they were the only shop in the USA that had a sample!) After selecting, Jana and team were in direct communication via email, keeping me updated on the shipping progress. I ended up needing ~4 fitting appointments with their in-house seamstress. Her attention to detail and understanding of my requests gave me confidence throughout and I could not have been more comfortable and confident in the final product on my wedding day. “My experience at this bridal shop can only be described as magical, and Jamie, my stylist, truly felt like my fairy godmother. I had expected wedding dress shopping to be a long and stressful process, but they made it wonderfully easy. Jamie was incredibly patient. When I narrowed my options down to two dresses, she encouraged me to alternate between them multiple times to ensure I felt confident in my decision. The other ladies in the store also chimed in with their professional and supportive opinions, which I appreciated immensely.
After I tried on numerous dresses in a particular style, Jamie pulled out a dress completely out of left field as a palette cleanser.
