My experience at Citizens Bank in Woodside, NY, deserves a 4-star rating. I visited the branch to open a Quest Checking account and a CD after being attracted by their in-branch promotional sign-up bonus. The banker I worked with was generally fine, guiding me through the process smoothly. However, I did encounter some discomfort as she persistently tried to convince me to open a savings account despite my reluctance due to the absence of a bonus. Even after firmly declining, she continued to press the matter multiple times and even questioned my financial competence.Nevertheless, my checking account and CD were eventually opened, and after a few months, I received the promised sign-up bonus. Despite the minor pressure during the process, the overall outcome met my expectations, making Citizens Bank a satisfactory choice for my banking needs.

I tried using this atm at 1am. I’ve never encountered a bank that won’t let you access the atm, even with your bank atm card after hours. And good luck EVER finding a citizens ATM anywhere. Meanwhile if I wanted to go to capital one, I could go no problem. And they use all point atms, which citizens doesn’t for some reason?? This was the final straw. Citizens is just way too inconvenient for me.

I've been trying to close my account for over 6 weeks. I've been with HSBC for nearly 20 years and made an intentional decision to not continue with Citizens. It's been a nightmare trying to close this account. Getting wrong information, passed along to wrong "departments", saying I still owe money. I've changed my accounts so that nothing should be debiting from the Citizens account. I can't believe I am still struggling with this. I think a customer when this bank first opened in 1828, would have had an easier time closing an account than a person in the modern day of 2022. How can a bank in 2022 be so difficult?! I tried to avoid leaving public reviews on social media. But I've been on the phone for an hour being passed along because I was given wrong information that I had closed my checking account back in March. Because it was not closed properly, things were overdrafted. I was told I can only close an the ODP via phone. Wrong again. Someone from Corporate please contact me directly so this can be resolved. I hate doing this. But I am a person that has spent too much time doing this.

I usually go to the branch in Long Island but for some reason I stopped here to take care of some of my needs and oh boy! Priya the banker is exceptionally good , very attentive and she understood in a minute what I was looking for and helped me solve my concern right away, the way she explained everything to me about the product was great and You should have more knowledgeable and professional employees like her.

Mr Ganesh makes banking easy and a pleasure.He is always very kind and patient. He is more importantly professional, informed and resourceful. He goes the extra mile to find information HSBC does not make easily available or accessible to clients, for example when HSBC did not honor my published interest rate. HSBC’s lack of transparency and disclosure on this issue was very disappointing, and the only reason I stayed at HSBC was Mr Ganesh’s help with this matter.The Woodside branch is essential now that the Jackson Heights office has closed.

Dalia Zaky the vice president at HSBC woodside location was really. Helpful. and courteous she is wonderful. And help us so much. When. we going through. Alot. Problems and she been helping.
