This bank is the worst . I got into a terrible car accident left me out of work for months after many years of rehab and physical . I finally was able to walk again without getting dizzy . So when I got my settlement check I was thrill . Finally able pay for this family vacation on a cruise me and my husband wanted . He also been dealing with Heart problems. So when I went to deposit the check they told me it will be a hold . After weeks and providing them with multiple letters form my lawyer. They still hasn’t solve the problem. They see a large check and assume a women with color cant be real . Now my husband is on dialysis and we miss the Black Friday cruise deals for or family vacation. This is the worst banking experience I ever had . I will be taking my business somewhere else.

Imagine being a customer for years and then you come to this specific branch to deposit a check and get racially profiled. I work for the state so with overtime my checks have been over 2500 after taxes. I live in Suffolk county but on my way to Brooklyn, I decided to come to this branch. (not my first time) After not being greeted and watching one of the tellers eat her lunch at the window. Someone finally helps me. I hand her my check and she looks at it then look at me a few times. My check was about 4000. She gave me my receipt and I didn’t think anything of it. I noticed it didn’t deposit right away as it always does. I went online and it said my check would clear on the 23rd as it was an extended hold. Never had that before but non the less didn’t think anything of it. Today, I call because it’s after the 23 and they put another extension on it with no explanation. I called customer care and they don’t even know why. They wouldn’t even take my call at the branch. I know why, because I’m black and why would I have a 4000 check? It must be fraud right?!! I will be closing my account with teachers federal.

This branch located on Queens blvd is Horrible. Everytime i try to withdraw money i am told their shared branch system is down. Keeping in mind that i have called the last 4 times prior to driving there. The responses you receive from the miserable girl sitting behind the counter are nothing short of ridiculous if she even helps you

The worst tellers.Unknowledgeable unintelligent, and possibly unable to read. I have had the same experience with the same teller on March 31, 2001. After management reached out to me I simply stated she may need a vacation because she’s extremely rude to be working in customer service but here we are again. I will not continue to make complaints via your portal or email when nothing has changed. I would suggest other customers to use their online banking, a different branch or a different bank to avoid the experience I’ve had twice with the same teller.

The manager is rude and racist. The ATM is out of service for so long. Because of manager’s behavior I closed my business account of over a million. Management should fire these kind of employees

Went yesterday for a 2:30 pm appointment! The bank was empty of customers and confirming over the phone weeks before I came on this day to open an IRA account. The person that I had to see went to lunch on my appointment time! First, you made appointment ahead of time so you can be attended and then three people nobody would like to assist me bc they say I had no appointment on my phone! I'm a valued customer for 30 years and regularly opening accounts to this time. Very unhelpful and rudely turn their backs and don't want to make an effort to help or assist a customer who show up for an appointment! I'm very frustrating and don't want to go back on this branch! Just bc they have no manager doesn't have any initiative for a good customer service! It's full of negativism on my appointment day!

Their smart checking is by far the best checking/savings built into one service. The only thing I don't like is that they charge you $1.75 for using Allpoint I've never met another credit union that tries to charge you for that if it's supposed to be part of your Netwerk, why not just participate with co-op ATM instead? Kind of sucks that they open up a branch in Florida but not another one in NYC.

Teachers Federal Credit Union or TFCU is neither long nor short on savings accounts, like Money Market or CDs, compared to any other bank in the market.TFCU does not care of my 2 decade long relationship and investing with the credit union. I suffered a loss on my Principal investments (in addition to the interest earned).TFCU has gone down hill. Maybe they are closing down.Teachers of State University of New York at Stony Brook (SUNYSB / SBU), kindly evaluate your options before going TFCU direction.

I can't speak to racism issues, ageism issues or issues on COVID protocols as it's now 2022, I'm not elderly and I'm not from a Hindu speaking country. However, when I went to this branch on my lunch break I had no trouble going in and getting money out of my account. The entrance was a little confusing with the sign saying "please use front door" and if I'd been trying to do a shared branch transaction I'd have been annoyed since they didn't have that available today but I was able to get in and out with my goal achieved so I really can't complain. The lady who helped me wasn't a white person and I don't recall thinking it was Whiteland when I came in so any racism claims definitely aren't fitting the typical leftist narrative if such things exist among the staff here.

Absolute garbage service and dishonest practices. The entire institution is pretty bad in general but this branch especially, god help you if you try and bank here. They charged me a ton of hidden fees without warning for alleged bad checks which I never wrote and then when I was promised a reimbursement from central HQ the branch manager here told me that never happened. When I asked to speak with the person who originally promised me the reimbursement they said that’s against policy. You’re 100 times better off going to the TD or Chase banks a few blocks down.
