Its never really 19.99 or whatever they say. Its a fake advertisement. Don’t be a fool. The ended up charging over 100$. They are not thrives they are Robbers.

I needed to rent a van for 4 hours, I did the rent online, it was super easy, then I just went to the front desk. I gave my credit card and they gave me the keys. Super easy, the lady at the front desk very polite.I loved the experience. The charge was $60 dollars, for a brand new van.Thank you U-haul team.

This location needs a customer-accessible loading dock for their rented trucks, to make move in/out much easier, needing fewer bodies. Other Uhaul locations (like one around Marble Hill have this. There are docks at the rear of this building, through the truck rental return area, but it is not accessible to customers, and possibly not connected to the storage units area. It would be a huge improvement if it could be connected and used.More fixable is their complete dearth of the carts that are supposed to be available. There have basically been one or none over the last four times I have visited, for the whole facility. The staff seem uninterested in addressing the issue.

My payment was charged to the wrong card even though I handed them the correct credit card! Very unprofessional! Still Impossible to resolve a simple issue after calling several customer service numbers

We rented various sizes of uHaul trucks from this location, and also used their storage cube. All the staff there are helpful. Trucks are in good conditions and storage cubes are clean. The process to return the trucks or check out of a cube are easy. Pickup is taking a bit of time as it has to be done with their app, so have to wait for remote staff to respond.

Painful and slow process to pickup. I only drove the van 4 miles to move a mattress and they charged me for 9 gallons of gas and a $30 fuel service fee. Total gas cost of $79.50 on a rental that was supposed to cost less than $30 total. CC rentals is a much better option in Queens.Edit: I received a full refund after complaining about the gas charge via online chat. Still not happy that it was there to being with but I am satisfied with the customer service after the fact.

Boyfriend rented a cargo van to move some heavy things for a short distance. U-Haul has a 19.99 base fee with an additional 1.59 for every mile driven. When picking up the van, we didn't have a full tank of gas. However, on the receipt, we only drove four miles BUT we were charged for the refill of 9 gallons of gas and the total ended up being approximately $116.00 due to the inflated price of filling up the tank and the service charge of $30. However, having only drive four miles, this would've have been less than a single gallon of gas. To anyone looking to rent from this place, do take a photo of both the mileage and the tank of gas at the pickup and at drop off. Luckily, we have the mileage as well as their website which states how much mileage goes off a single gallon of gas so we have the credibility to dispute. I will say, this issue was easily resolved with an email to the company.

Uhaul ruined my entire moving weekend. I reserved a furniture dolly and blankets for my move, except they were not provided in the truck as promised. By the time I realized it I had already driven back to Manhattan. I called the store to discuss the mistake and all they offered was to remove the rental charge for those items from my bill. They said that I could go to another closer Uhaul location to get the supplies and that I could return them to the same scheduled return location as the truck. I called the closest Uhaul dealer at 1599 Lexington Ave, NY, NY 10029, and the person on the phone told me that they had blankets that I could rent immediately. I drove to the store and explained the situation to the person behind the counter who was incredibly rude. They cut me off, said that they had blankets, but they were all for other reservations, and then he stormed out. I looked up the next closest Uhaul dealer and called them: 220 E. 117th St, NY, NY 10035. The person on the phone said I should come by for blankets. Long story short, they also did not have any blankets for when I arrived. The person there told me of a different Uhaul location to try and acted like this happens all the time. I had to go to a Uhaul in the Bronx and finally got blankets but no dolly. The whole matter cost me mileage, time, expense, and headache, as I was not able to complete my move in the time that I reserved for the elevator with my building. I had to drive back the next day to finish my move and miss a 2-year-old birthday party for my baby cousin. I provided this feedback to Uhaul after my reservation, and they made no apologies or offers to compensate me for their failures. I will never use Uhaul again. For others, if you must use Uhaul, I recommend avoiding any and all Uhaul dealers unless solely dropping off a truck. Definitely do not use this location in Queens, as they are incredibly disorganized and do not care about their customers.

Positives: staff is super friendly, they sell moving equipment at location for reasonable prices.Negatives: Limited street parking for personal vehicle,The U-Haul trucks are very old models with no backup camera, limited visibility, truck bounces around, (not good if moving delicate pieces), you have to pay for the fuel you use which can add up the price significantly since you are already paying per mileAdvice: if you’re going to rent the 10ft box version u might as well just rent the van instead since it’s more modern, spacious, and can use it on parkways without fear of ticketed.Hope this helps someone : )
