Trusted them for years. Always a little suspicious of price, but in the ball park. They used aftermarket parts that failed and tried to bill me for Oem 2 months later. Then the repair they did under dash board knocked off a hose that I didn’t realize until I turned the heat on the other day. $150 for labor to fix their mess. Shifter cable needed a plastic bushing $20 and the replaced upper and lower shifter cables for $450!!!!

I don’t really talk to people, but I gotta give credit where it’s due. Pulled up to God’s Way Auto Repair after my car just died out of nowhere. Thought I was in for a nightmare, but the bald guy (never got his name) checked it out in five minutes, tightened up a battery connection, and had me back on the road for free.
Most shops would’ve turned it into a $500 job, but these guys are honest, fast, and legit. The area might not be great, but this place? Best in town.

Went in February 2025 for an inspection. Usually $35 but then when he looked at the car he said it may not pass due to Tints in the window. I was what? So he said with $135 it can pass and avoid the tint.
Took it to another mechanic and he was so confused when I told him the story. New mechanic even showed with his tint machine & showed 100 clear. NEVER AGAIN will do business in GODS WAY Auto.
Be careful and always get a second opinion.

Don’t even think about contacting here, the worst car service, if it weren’t for a puncture on a tire on 7/26/2024 on an Infiniti x56, I would never have contacted you!!!!! The people there are not experienced!!! And they tear you apart by the wheel without removing it from the car, gag it, take $30, shame!!!!! This car service and respect to the owner, he will get rich on you!!! SHAME!!!?????????????

I've always had my guy friend take my car to them. Which the price was always $130 I go by myself & I got charged $173 I asked why it was that price? I was told they put a special Anti freeze because I may have a leak. I wasn't told before hand they were putting that in. So I was alil confused but paid without complaining. I go again & was charged $190 now I'm upset bc why??? He said bc I used my credit card. I asked how come it was only $173 the last time wen I also used my card. The owner said I don't kno maybe I gave you a deal or something. I only gave $170 bc that's all I had. As the weeks go by I keep smelling gas. Took it to my Mechanic & was told wen God's way put my car on the lift they pushed up my gas tank now it's leaking gas. I'll never go back to them.

Why am I not surprised at some of these reviews? Not sure if the owner or employees changed as the past reviews seem more positive than the more current ones. My daughter called to find out how much a car inspection would be. Was quoted about $40. I was like ok not too bad go ahead. Why I receive messages from her stating they charged 40 dollars more to change her windshield wipers! He told her to pass the inspection they needed to be replaced, fine. Here’s where the sketchiness comes in. Instead of replacing them with something comparable to the car she was driving (decently priced wipers; on an old car would have sufficed) He had Mercedes Benz wipers put on a 2000 Toyota Corolla!! To think I sent her there since we’re relatively new to the area & wanted to support a local business. So much for that. I will drive back to Nassau & stick to the honest mechanic we know there (Check out Gregory’s Auto in Island Park IF you’re in need of one)
Shame on these guys for taking advantage of a naive young lady and her 1st car inspection! Just to make a few extra dollars. The other thing that pissed me off is the fact that he has the audacity to use God’s name as his business name and has scriptures on his walls LOL All the while doing such shady things & from the reviews it seems others have had it worse. SHAME ON YOUUU for using God’s name in such manner!!! You should really consider changing the name of that Auto shop to Devils Work- that seems more fitting. lol
As from our experience & what I’ve read there seems to be nothing Godly about you nor how you conduct business. NEVER AGAIN! First and last time here!!

Terrible service I went here to get my oil drain plug taken out because the bolt was stripped they told me that because I wasn't doing my oil change to go somewhere else down the road

The shop charges dealer prices but you get an incomplete job in return. Parts were missing parts were not installed properly. I have been there three times I am not satisfied and I don’t intend to go back.
