I took my beagle to the clinic for an emergency. I was pleasantly surprised how great the service was and how good the staff were with my dog. They were very patient and friendly with him and made him feel happy and comfortable. I would recommend the animal speciality center to any pet parent!A special thanks to the night staff on Saturday.

Definitely recommend.Brought my 13-1/2 y.o. dog in for possible stroke (we now suspect it was something vestibular).Every member of the staff was so nice and caring. They work hard to make the owners feel like they’re not being judged for any decision they make.We worked with Dr. Gutierrez, she was very understanding and knowledgeable, and followed up the next day with a phone call.I’ll admit it wasn’t inexpensive ($800) but it’s your fur baby so it is what it is. But it’s much easier to pay that for positive service than non-sympathetic service.

EDIT: If I could make this a ZERO star review, I would. They cancelled our prescription to trick us into coming up for an appointment so they could squeeze a minimum of $300 out of us. After speaking with Chewy, we discovered our cats prescription DOES NOT EXPIRE because it’s a quality of life medicated food. Be warned if they do the same to you, don’t fall for it, just call Chewy.TLDR; They cancelled my cats prescription for food they told us he needs to eat for the rest of his life with no warning on a Sunday morning and I’m completely absolutely done with this place.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The service may be good, but they will lie to your face about the cost of your visit and corner you into bad financial decisions to save your pets. Last time they told us our male cat could be saved with a $6,000 surgery, or we could take him home and hope he doesn’t die. Like, those were our only options. They kept coming into the room we were crying in, to ask us if we had applied for this credit card or that credit card, while we were trying to figure out how long we could go without eating food or paying our bills. My latest issue with them is their cancellation of our cats prescription food. No call, no warning, nothing. They didn’t tell us we needed to come in for a check up soon, they didn’t tell us our prescription was going to run out soon. They just cancelled it on a Sunday morning and when we called to find out why, they told us we had to make an appointment with our vet. Oh, you mean YOU? So now we have to scramble, with a dwindling food supply, to get our cat his medicated food from somewhere else at the very last second. It’s so unfortunate, because we really thought this would be our regular vet. But after this, yeah right. If you have an emergency, sure, go here, but do it knowing they’ll tell you on the phone your intake price will be $250 and as soon as you get there it’ll be $600.

We have been coming from NJ to Animal Specialty Center with our dog, Zoey for over 3 years. A local vet did 2 surgeries and then recommended a leg amputation for a large lipoma which kept growing back. Instead, ASC treated her with radiation with no side effects at all. Over 3 years, the tumor has continued to shrink and she is a happy and healthy 10-year old, walking and running like a puppy. We couldn't be happier!!! Thank you Dr. Rosen!

I believe that in an emergency I would go back to this hospital. They are thorough and knowledgeable. But I don't love the robotic nature of the staff. It's hard to tell if they actually enjoy what they are doing. They are professional but kind of cold. They don't communicate well about time frames or how long you will be sitting waiting to talk to someone. However, my cat was deathly ill and now she is doing better because they know what they are doing. That is the most important part. Their bedside manner is not great, and it would make visits more pleasant if they worked on that.

I unfortunately had to put my beloved Chance down today. Gabrielle at the front desk was amazing from start to finish as well as the Veterinarian who helped Chance pass on. I've had nothing but great experiences when coming here. Highly recommended

Intake staff were pleasant. Though we did not meet or need to consult directly with the Vet, the nurse who took care of Sookie was also very pleasant and professional. She would come out to the waiting area constantly to request and/or provide information and updates.

The Animal Specialty Center is a place that is really concerned with your pets health. The employees are very professional and courteous. The doctor had excellent communication with me about my son’s dog and his medical problem. Highly recommend this establishment for your pets.

My Shepherd had a lot of blood in her urine, and bumps on her belly, she was taken in immediately, the doctor was great explaining everything, my Shepherd had a skin infection and UTI. My Takota was sent home with antibiotics and pain medication. The following day, very little blood, third day, no blood, in her urine. She doesn’t like wearing the cone for two weeks, but it’s for her own good?. The doctor called the next day to follow up on her progress. Thank God for Vet. Doctors like this. Our Kota is no longer with us!One thing I agree with the one star reviews is that they put profit above everything else. The cost are very high in this place, nice as the staff and doctors are everything is about money, they charge you before even seeing a doctor up front, then there are add on cost, the emergency doctor doesn't even explain things, jiberish! I'm glad our girl is no longer suffering.

Lily is a pitbull mix with high levels of anxiety and fear of humans. They did their best to accommodate Lily’s anxiety and uncomfortableness with the visit. They explained everything they needed to do and why. They gave a few care options for us to choose from and left the choice up to us.

If I could leave more than five stars, I would. Dr. Kindred and her staff went WAY above and beyond for our husky who developed spontaneous double lung collapse. Dr. Kindred kept me updated constantly and one of her staff members (I wish I had gotten her name) even volunteered to stay behind past her shift to be able to accompany our dog in the pet ambulance that needed to be arranged (something Dr. Kindred did as well) for a transport to a different hospital. Absolutely amazing, lovely people all around, highly recommend.
