I went to this AutoZone shop because my battery light came on. I wanted to get both the battery and alternator tested and replace the battery if necessary. After checking the battery, they told me they couldn’t test the alternator because the voltage was too low and that I’d need a new battery first. So, I bought a battery—they initially gave me the wrong one.
To make matters worse, they refused to install the battery, even though other locations of the same chain have no problem doing so. Their excuse was that only two employees were working, and they couldn’t leave the store, even though my car was parked right outside. When I decided to return the battery and leave, one of the employees suddenly asked if I’d tip him to install it. Once I agreed, he came out and changed the battery.
Even after the battery was replaced, the warning light remained on. Only then did they test further and mention a possible voltage regulator issue, but they downplayed it and said I didn’t need to worry since it passed the iodide test. Trusting their advice, I drove home. However, the red light on my dashboard still bothered me, so I took the car to a dealership since it was under warranty.
At the dealership, the service center was shocked that I had been driving in that condition. They informed me that a faulty voltage regulator could damage electrical components and sensors, making it a serious issue. They wouldn’t even let me drive the car out and provided me with a loaner while they repaired it.
Had I followed the advice from this shop, my car’s electronics would be fried by now. I strongly recommend avoiding this place unless you have a solid understanding of car mechanics.

Its always good to find persons at the store/counter who possess the right attitude and willingness to help a customer. Such was the case with Denise, who did an exceptional job helping my sister and myself with a car battery. We are very grateful Denise for your time and effort!

Disappointing experience at this AutoZone. The young african american employee at the register seemed completely uninterested in helping out. To make matters worse, the woman wearing glasses, just laughed with him at his unresponsiveness to a customer waiting to be helped. He appeared to be disconnected and unenthusiastic, like he'd rather be anywhere else. Definitely taking my business and car troubles elsewhere.

Had an OKAY experience here! I called to make sure that if I brought my car in, they could change the battery. The woman who answered said yes. When I get there Emery E, the parts tech, tells me that they're "not supposed to touch my car." And says several times, as if I'm the one who's crazy, "It's AutoZone Auto PARTS, we sell parts, that's all." I told him I got mixed messages, because why would one person tell me yes, they can change the battery, and he's telling me no? He tells me "I don't know, I just got here." And proceeds to start explaining how to change the battery. So I'm like, "Okay...I guess I have to do this now." because I need my car. Now...I'm NOT a car person. I don't know when things are supposed to be changed or switched or whatever and financially, things have been ROUGH recently. So when parts tech, EMERY, starts lecturing me when he sees the battery acid leaking from the battery by saying, "You know, the insurance companies have a name for this, it's called neglect." I made a joke because anything else that would've come out of my mouth would have been derogatory...and he was almost done changing my battery, and I wanted to see the job DONE. CUSTOMER service, not employee service, not "here's my two cents" service, CUSTOMER service here is sub-par, to say the least. All that said, Emery DID change the battery, begrudgingly, and after lecturing me on how to clean and change my battery, and telling me I'm neglecting my car, so that's why I'm giving it 2 stars. But other than that, I'm never going back here. It's a sh*t-show, and no one seems to want to work there. If you don't enjoy (or can't pretend to enjoy) helping people...DO NOT WORK IN A CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION. Just do better, y'all. I missed work because my car wouldn't start, I lost money today, and now am about to spend money to get back on the road, and your employees think it's okay to lecture customers on neglect, send mixed messages, and just have an all-around "don't care" attitude. Not cool. Thanks for the battery change, but you just lost a customer. Happy Holidays.

Exceptional Customer Service by Employee, Emery E.!!! He is the Parts Sales Manager! He was the only one who solved and fixed my sudden problem with my car!
Given the number of people who require their car for work and my need to be on location presiding over ceremonies, a car problem requires immediate attention.
On top of that, when I was at the store, he was multitasking as he took care of two customers at the register and three customers with their cars/trucks outside in front of the store. All the while, he was taking care of my car problem, which needed a crucial part!
If you're going to AutoZone at this location, ask for Emery!
