I actually purchased my wedding dress in Florida, but my wedding is local to New York, so I needed a place I could trust for alterations and support leading up to the big day. From the moment I walked in, Maria and Rosa could not have been more accommodating, kind, and welcoming.

Even though I didn’t buy my dress there, they treated me with so much respect and truly made me feel like one of their brides. I currently live in the Midwest and have been traveling back and forth to New York, and they have been incredibly accommodating with my schedule and constant travel. They worked with my availability and made the entire process so much easier for me.

They have been incredibly attentive to every detail, making sure everything fits perfectly and that I feel completely confident and comfortable in my dress. Their seamstress is absolutely amazing—her work is flawless, and the level of care and precision she puts into the alterations is truly impressive.

My wedding is in just 6 days, and Maria and Rosa have been so thoughtful about making sure I have the right appointments scheduled leading up to the wedding so that every single detail is perfect. That level of attentiveness and support during such a busy time has meant so much to me.

“I had the best experience here! The moment I met Hae Kyung, I knew right away, she was the person I wanted to work with.

She took care of hair & make up for myself, the groom, my aunt, six bridesmaids, and last minute my sister in law too! (10 people!). She was very understanding and patient with my indecisiveness. I ended up renting two dresses and accessories from her. She even tailored my 3rd dress, my aunt's dress, and bridesmaids' dresses as well. We also did the pae baek ceremony. Everything was so easy with them. She was so detail oriented and gave such good advice on everything! ?

I remember on the day of my wedding, I had to direct the photographers, the dj, my bridal assistant who was nowhere to be found for half the day, etc... but Hae Kyung was the one person I could rely on. And she worked well with the venue staff as well, to figure out the sound and set up for the pae baek ceremony. I did not have to do anything.

She and one of her staff traveled over 2 hours, all the way from palisades park, to somerset, NJ, in the middle of the freezing winter! My bridesmaids and I were running late because the roads were flooded, so I really appreciated her for arriving early and waiting for us. I will never forget her kindness and professionalism on this day. ?

“When I began my wedding dress search, I knew I wanted a calm, stress-free experience. The first place I went dress shopping was at Rana’s, and it could not have been a more perfect experience. She truly has such a calming, peaceful demeanor, that translates into her boutique. It was so special to be the only guests in the shop, which made the experience so personal. She started us off by allowing me to pick my own dresses to try on (not many stores allow this!). After silently watching me try on a few dresses, she gently asked if she could pick out one for me to try on. And wow, did she know what she was doing!! “Miracle Workers — Saved My Prom Night!

Let me start by saying — if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Carina’s boutique in Whitestone is nothing short of a miracle. I am beyond grateful for what they did for me, and I want everyone to know just how incredible this team is.

I ordered my daughter’s prom dress online from a random website (rookie mistake, I know), and took it to a local dry cleaner for simple alterations — just to take it in and shorten the length. I picked it up the day before prom and was completely heartbroken. The dress was ruined. There were visible holes and fabric pulls, the sewing was a disaster, it was puckering in every direction, and worst of all — it was still too big and too long. I couldn’t believe it.

When I told the dry cleaner, they begged for one more day to fix it. I was desperate and said yes, which meant I was now going to pick up the dress the day of prom. Huge mistake. I showed up, and of course, it was still an absolute mess — maybe even worse.

At this point, it was about 11 a.m., prom was at 5, and I was driving around crying, literally begging three different tailors to take a look and help me. All three refused. They said it was too damaged and not fixable. One even told me to “just buy a new dress.”

With time running out and my heart sinking, I remembered hearing about Carina’s in Whitestone. I had nothing to lose, so I rushed over — and from the moment I walked in, everything changed.
