Updating to say : I see Citi responded to this to contact them, but their socks media team has already dismissed me multiple times over the last couple of weeks; from telling me there’s nothing I can do about them blocking access to my account and keeping my money, to outright ignoring my message completely. Horrid CS.

I’ve only been with this bank since July 2nd, and it was definitely the biggest mistake I could’ve made by switching from my credit union.
By the time I had actually gotten my debit card in the mail after a lengthy wait, Citi randomly blocked access to my account. I called to try and figure out what was happening, they wouldn’t provide a reason.
They said they needed to send an access code to my phone…only to tell to me the number I provided wasn’t on public records - even though I’ve had it for years and is literally the same number I signed up with and on my account.
Then they tell me that in now need to wait for a letter in the mail with a reference code to verify my identity; they wouldn’t accept any forms of proof like my ID, account number, social security card, etc.
They said it would take 5-7 business days and we’re now going on over 3 weeks. Their agents hang up the phone when I call, provide zero help or support.
I stopped by this branch to have my money cashed out, and they told me I couldn’t. They were actually no help at all when I stopped in and only phoned into the horrid fraud prevention unit that has been giving me trouble. What is the point of having a branch that can’t do anything?
Now, I’m behind on bills to pay because of this, and I cannot believe my funds are stuck in this checking account with them refusing to do anything to give it back.
I’ve learned that I’m not the only person dealing with this, and I’m now contemplating on contacting my lawyer, as well as starting a potential civil suit.
Please, just stay away from this bank. What an amazing way to run a way a new customer.

The Yonkers Citi Branch is a phenomenal bank. The manager and bank teller employees go above and beyond. They conduct themselves in a professional manner, they solve all your issues. Customer friendly and their knowledge on banking is outstanding. Please to be apart of Citi Bank.

The worst branch ever! They drove me to open an account with Chase across the street. I went twice and was not help at all by these people. I was left waiting on the waiting area and was not helped. I will encorage anyone to go to any other branch but this one. The worst consumer experience ever.

This bank is horrible! Horrible staff, horrible customer service! Every time I come into this branch I receive subpar service. I'm always in line for over 30 minutes waiting and it's always 2 or less tellers! Less Kay and Jose should be fired immediately after the horrible customer service I received from them. Thank God this bank is not my primary account. I will be closing it immediately!

I rather travel to the Citi Bank on RIVERDALE AVE in the bronx ... I would've given it negative stars but it won't let me ...
