My recent experience with Costco optical in Yonkers was disappointing. I already came with a prescription so cannot comment on the optometrist. However I found the customer service worse than I’ve experienced in the past. Most notably was one particular woman who was quite rude to me while I waited to pick up my glasses, simply because I asked if they were going by numbers after seeing the sign “take a number” and taking one, but realizing it wasn’t being utilized. I won’t return to Costco Yonkers optical as there is no excuse for rudeness.

Terrible customer service, go to the one in New Rochelle instead. The bright pink haired salesperson is genuinely the worst salesperson I’ve ever interacted with. I wanted this pair of glasses and she refused to allow me to buy them (without recommending me other pairs of glasses) and told me my nose was too big and my face was too big. To say that to someone, especially a young girl, is just wrong. There are plenty of better, politer and respectful ways to phrase that that a normal person would use.

Very friendly, quick, convenient, and affordable eye exam, $145 for glasses, contacts, and dilation - they even managed to squeeze me in before my appointment! Thank you!

I came here today to adjust a pair of new prescription Ray Bans. I took them out of the box once at home to try them on and realized the they’re slightly too small. Unfortunately an optician named Thierry “helped” me. I told him that they were slightly too tight and that the ear hooks weren’t curved enough.
First of all Thierry acted like I was trying to trade him some beads for Manhattan. When I handed him the new of the box sunglasses, he dropped them on the counter on an uneven surface. Ok. Sure, accidents happen. I closely examined them and found no scratches. I wasn’t happy but I didn’t say anything.
Then without seeing how the sunglasses fit my face, he just started bending the sunglasses. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because maybe he knows what he’s doing. When he was done bending, he wiped the sunglasses with a yellow rag. I took the glasses back and saw that several scratches were on them.
I pointed the scratches out. His only reply was “do you want to return it?”.
At this point I was pissed. So I asked him why he did that and he said that all he did was use a microfiber to clean the lenses.
Thierry, for an optician you sure don’t know a thing about glasses. Microfibers are notorious for attracting dirt. And you just rubbed that dirt all over my new prescription sunglasses. Your lack of enthusiasm and carelessness with regards to your job only highlights your lack of qualification. More importantly you’re an asshole.
Maybe the general manager I complained to can help you get your attitude straight but I get the feeling that absolutely nothing will change.
This will be the last time I visit the optical department of this Costco.

A wonderful experience altogether, from demeanor, patience, knowledge of his craft, and care. Such a breath of fresh air from the way everything is usually so rushed. I have my whole family with him now. Thank you for a comforting feeling for something so important, like your eyesight.

I’ve gotten 3 sets at the Yonkers location. 1 at was fine, 2nd the progressive measurements were off but I didn’t complain… 3 rd time the lense kept squeaking on one side I asked my husband to take it back and ask for a replacement (I can’t handle the crowds) the refused and said I needed to be come in. I explained that I wasn’t satisfied and asked for it to be sent back- no luck. Not happy

My son and I had our eye exams recently. We've been using Dr. Ressler for years. He's very nice, very patient with us, and has such a pleasant demeanor. He is always more than willing to explain everything. Great guy!

The independent optometrist that is at this location Dr Russler is amazing. I have been seeing him for a few years now and it is worth ever penny. I never have an issue with my prescription and my contacts he is always willing to help you find the right brand and size for your eye. He is so sweet and really truly cares for his patients.The opticians here are pretty nice as well. The glasses selection has gotten better over the years.

Overall great placeThey have everything from electronics and housewares. Seasonal surprises all types of fresh meat and fish to already prepped dinners. A produce and dairy sections and a freezer cooler section. Paper plates garbage bags cleaning supplies pet food and Health and beauty. A pharmacy optical and hearing aid specialty. And a food court that still serves the biggest hot dog and a drink with refills for just a $1.50 They also have a clothing section as well as a small media section, furniture is sold seasonally and roadshows pop up demo products. Well worth the 120 bucks for membership when you receive 2% cash back on almost all purchases. I can literally do all my shopping in one place and earn up to 4% cash back if I have their credit card. Go sign up check it out and if it's not for you then you are guaranteed a refund on your membership at anytime during your paid active membership

Great experience with Dr. Ressler! All of these bad reviews must be old and from another doctor. Dr. Ressler took his time and thoroughly explained every part of the exam to me. Easily one of the best eye exam experiences I've had and will definitely be back!

The worst customer service experience. They have three people to do customer returns and one person to do membership information. I'm waiting to get my membership information and have been on long for over 30 minutes mind you they opened at 10:00 am. I was just asked if I needed assistance by a guy name Derrick, and then he went back to helping the people he was helping . Multitasking is definitely not a requirement to work here. I honestly can not give them a full one star. If they had a half a star that would have been my recommendation. And their attitudes' are ridiculous. They act as if they are doing customer a favor.
