Ever since Hertz closed many locations, the Yonkers location has been clobbered with an overflow of people looking to pickup/drop off a rental. And with only, at most times, 1 rep that means long wait time. For 1 person to hold it all down, provide excellent service is a daunting and unrealistic task. However, they have been exemplary! It isn't the reps fault for not having more staff to help. They do the best they can with what they have. The public needs to demonstrate a bit of understanding and patience. Make your complaints to corporate, to the decision makers. Yes waiting longer than expected is a pain but under the circumstances, one needs to understand. Hertz! Get these guys help ASAP!!!

Came for maintenance on a hertz rental. Was told that they’ll put the voucher through and call me in a few hours. 3 days later no such call was made. I had to show up unexpectedly. Supposed to be tires changed, oil change, computer diagnostic etc…if you don’t watch they will only change 1 or 2 tires, rotate the newer looking ones, put them back on and charge hertz’s account for FULL maintenance. I confronted the manager of the establishment and he goes speaks to the mechanics (plural) and comes back to tell me that 1 tire was “short” he’ll order another one and I can come back tomorrow. I rent the car from hertz through Uber to work. I don’t have time to keep coming back here. They used my tire for someone else and if I’m not watching they’ll give me the car back and not tell me 1 tire was “short” lmao shady place. Most “mechanics” are.

This is an update to my previous Review I still have not received my $200 deposit and it’s been almost a month since I returned the car!!!! Ridiculous I called Hertz billing and they say “contract wasn’t close out correctly” I even went to the location today waste of gas and to my suppose no help or assistance just a simple shrug of the shoulders stay away from this placeWay too slow small location so if you are in a rush avoid this placeAfter the jumping through hoops from Hertz automated system, They don’t answer the phone people are coming in to physically to extend their rentals ,they still work in stone ages

Made a reservation all to be told that they had nothing available when I got here. Very unprofessional because you could have more than made the announcement before coming over here that there was nothing available rather than telling me when I get here

Came here after paying for a cab and they didn't have any car ls available even though I booked online. The worker at the desk stated there were no cars and redirected his attention to someone else. I had to ask him to help me and call another store instead of him taking the initiative to help me. Which also didn’t have any cars available. Call ahead of time before you waste your money.

On January 13 (a day before my birthday) I was due to.pick up a car. There was an accident at the Tuckhoe West exit so my arrival time was a little later than my estimated 4:30pm pick up. I called to let them know that I was at the exit (5 mins away)., I was told ok no problem. When I arrived at 4:45 there was a couple inside the small office, 2 ladies where on the line ahead of me and another couple on the side speaking about their reservation. When they finished with the 2 ladies, the couple with the reservation issues proceeded to go in to continue trouble shooting there problem.I was with the other Hertz employee when my card had a problem and I had to step out of the office to correct my issue. When I corrected the problem, I returned to open the door and it was locked. I couldn't believe they said to come back when im.done and locked me out.I was confronted by another staff stating that the manager asked him to come clear out the office.This location is very shady, 2 men stopped by, one whom I believe was the manager but he didn't speak to me at all. He sent a non caring bully to get rid of me.I was very upset because I was heading out that evening toward my drive to my birthday celebration the following day. Although, I cried and waved my license in his face to show that my birthday on the 14th he didn't care and asked me to leave. I will never go back to this Hertz. They were awful and not helpful.ro their customers.

Thanks for charging me for insurance when I have my own & didn’t ask for more. Didn’t realize it until 1 week later when I needed to extend my rental & couldn’t get through because no one answers the phone . Customer service kept transferring me to different numbers & getting disconnected. I asked to speak to someone higher up & they don’t have anyone .. freaking scam it what it is

This local Hertz rental location seems to have some dedicated, professional and courteous drivers. I'm always seeing nice clean late model cars and SUVs but the drivers stand out as truly nice people!

The staff was fantastic with getting me in and out, under 15 minutes total with a customer being helped before me. I wish I could remember the guys names but both of them were great and let me choose the car I wanted out of the inventory. I traveled from the Bronx because the cost is much cheaper and the staff is way easier to deal with. Lyft back to the city was only $12 and the metro north to Yonkers and lyft/uber to the location still is about half the price of renting in the city...Will be back next time I need a rental

Tyrone and Tyrese at the front desk are so slow, and they blame the customers lol. This location needs to get shut down or at least be known to their corporate office.

The customer service here was horrible. I was called to pick up my vehicle earlier than the reservation time, when I got there the vehicle was not ready. I was given attitude because the staff did not communicate with each other about this "early pickup" I still left the place past 4pm. HLE stands for Hertz Local Edition. This means that if you are up to 15 minutes away from them they will come out to pick you up. When I requested a pick up I was told they don't do that. On the website it clearly states they do offer it. I was given a dirty car. When I returned the car I gave it back earlier than I was supposed to, they charged me $62 because the gas was on almost full. It was missing 2 gallons. When I picked up the vehicle it was filled up to the capacity. I thought it was fair to return the way it was given. Moral of the story, don't ever rent a car from this hertz.
