I wouldn't wish my experience here on my worst enemy. For $130+ per night, you’d think you’d get at least basic cleanliness and comfort. Instead, I got a nightmare.
The room reeked of a foul, musty odor the moment I walked in, like it hadn't been aired out or cleaned in weeks. As if that wasn’t enough, I was greeted by cockroaches crawling around the room—on the floor, in the bathroom, and even near the bed! Absolutely revolting. (see pictures)
The bedding looked dingy and stained, and I wasn’t sure if it had been properly washed.
For $130+ a night, you could easily stay somewhere far cleaner and better maintained. This place is an overpriced dump, and frankly, it’s insulting to paying guests. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.

Where do I even begin to describe the extraordinary care, dedication, and kindness that Kayla showed while planning and running my bridal shower? She is not just a maître d'—she is a miracle worker who turned one of the most important days of my life into an unforgettable celebration.
From the start, Kayla was patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in making everything absolutely perfect. My mom and I, admittedly, were not the easiest clients—we called her almost every day leading up to the shower, adding new requests and last-minute changes that probably piled onto her workload. But not once did she make us feel like a burden. Instead, she handled every call, every question, and every request with incredible grace, kindness, and the attitude of, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” And she truly did.
Kayla gave us everything we asked for and so much more. She coordinated with the DJ, worked tirelessly with her team, and ensured the hall was decorated more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. The staff she brought in were just as wonderful—attentive, professional, and efficient—and the food was absolutely incredible. Every single guest commented on how delicious everything was, and the presentation was stunning.
One of the most thoughtful things Kayla did was provide my mom and me with a private room to change, which was so important to us for religious reasons. She went out of her way to make sure it was secure and comfortable, which made all the difference to us. And even amidst running the entire show, Kayla didn’t forget about my fiancé. Although he only stopped by for one dance, she prepared a special to-go box for him—a small but incredibly meaningful gesture that truly showed how much she cares.
But what truly made Kayla special was the way she cared for us. She wasn’t just doing her job—she became part of our family that night. My mom was so moved by Kayla’s dedication, kindness, and attention to detail that she literally cried while thanking her. She even told Kayla she felt like she was a daughter to her. That moment captured exactly what makes Kayla unique: her ability to connect with people and make them feel so cared for and valued.
Kayla, you are an absolute treasure. Your thoughtfulness, kindness, and hard work turned what could have been a stressful day into the perfect celebration. My mom and I will never forget how you went above and beyond for us. Thank you for everything you did to make my bridal shower a memory we will cherish forever.

My family and I went to tour the party room for a Sweet 16 on November 20th with Kayla. We were told a contract with pricing would be emailed to us that evening or the next day. Not only did we not receive the pricing, let alone the contract to book our event, we never received a reply to our follow up email or call. Terrible customer service.

I used to like this hotel a lot more but it is going down hill. Holes in carpets, outlets not working, trouble with CC on check-in. I've stayed here several times over the year, but last week was my last time.

If you don’t mind your non smoking room smelling like cigarettes smoke the entire night. This is your place. After booking this room for my anniversary, I experienced the worst stay ever. I complained several times about the cigarette smoke that started around midnight to be told someone will investigate. When we got up at 7am the room smelled horrible. I immediately called front desk and asked for a manager or someone to come to my room and smell how strong the cigarette smoke was. They assured me someone was coming yet nobody came. The manager stated to me they usually don’t do anything appease a customer who had to deal with this issue but will give me ten percent off my next visit. Now why would I take a chance booking a room at a hotel that I know allows smoking in a non smoking room and typically as stated by the manager does nothing about it. Do better Royal Regency because there was nothing Royal about my stay!!

The staff are horrible, they tried to over charge me for a room that I already paid for. They asked for a $100 hold and he tried to charge more than that to my card

Attended a Veterans Luncheon. Did not see any of the hotel with the exception of the Ballroom. The ballroom was well appoint myed and very clear. The staff was well trained and attentive.

I loved the hotel, what we liked most was the good service we received, everyone very friendly and attentive. Good food, comfortable rooms. We received extraordinary treatment from Andrea Piña, always with a smile for us.

I was pleasantly surprised. Checking was very quick as it was a midweek evening. Everywhere was very clean. Vending machines on the second floor vestibule. The rooms were very clean. There was a sliding door that opened into the bathroom which is the purple door in the picture that was the only very strange item in the room. Very close to Ridge Hill mall near a couple of takeout food options and Dunkin' donuts. Received drink tickets for the adjacent restaurant. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Check out is very quick especially if you have a car and you drop your key when you use it to open the gate to exit.

We love staying here especially that we live in nj and it’s close to our family in nyc .but staying there to wake up Sunday morning to the church playing their music like a a firework slash shout to the top of your lungs concert was crazy . But the breakfast was amazing spectacular.
