Variety: You would think it would be impossible to fit this much into a store the size of a classroom. They have everything from games, consoles, accessories, cables, batteries, controllers, plushies, hats, toys, board games, figures, candy, stickers, trading cards, and even Hatsune Miku Potato Head.

“Feel like walking through time to your childhood or even further back in time? This is the ultimate place to do that! They have comics, records, toys, pins and so much more from decades ago to the present day. The staff are friendly and want to help you find anything that catches your fancy. It’s also nice to walk around the neighborhood of City Island . It feels like a small part of New England in the Bronx! The store and the island feel like a cool open secret here in NY. Highly recommend!”
“I celebrated my daughter’s 3rd birthday this past Saturday, and she is still talking about her amazing party! The owner, Danielle, was incredible throughout the entire process and made everything seamless. She went over every detail to ensure my daughter’s birthday was absolutely perfect.
The two ladies who worked during the event were so helpful, professional, sweet, and incredibly welcoming. They made sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests felt comfortable.

“I wanted to support a small Black woman-owned business near me for the holidays. I googled and found this wonderful toy store!
When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the owner. She was warm, friendly, and told me that although what I was looking for was limited in stock, I had other options. She showed me around, and then told me to take my time looking around the store.
I browsed around, and found three great arts and craft items for my 7 year old great niece which I’m sure she’s going to love!
When I got to the register to pay, the owner asked if I would like to have the items gift wrapped. I was surprised, and said yes.
Not only does this toy store have great gifts, but the owner provides EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will be back!”
“My favorite bookstore! They had a great selection and everything is organized is very well. It doesn't feel overwhelming when you step inside like some other places. Even if I'm not purchasing book, I love to just go in and walk around! If they don't have the book you're looking for, they'll order it for you and they typically come in by the following week. Huge fan of this place, I always recommend it when people are looking for a bookstore!”

“They had lots of cute items, and my boyfriend got the last of what I wanted (it was a plush keychain of a specific pokemon). Luckily we can share custody of the pokemon (lol). The socks were also really cute but had no sizing information and we both have larger feet, so we didn’t take the chance of them not fitting… I got a really cool little pen that has an extendable claw for scratching In my favorite color. My boyfriend is always asking me for back scratches and I thought it would be fun terrorize him around with the little claw 😂 I look forward to using it. I tested it on him in store before we bought and he said it was very powerful (he seemed more horrified than pleased), and then I extended the antennae and an expression of abject fear washed over him, but he resigned to his fate.
The woman working the counter was really nice, even though I clumsily bumped into something while browsing and knocked over some papers/ clipboard on one of the counters and was frantically trying to save them from all falling off the counter and making a huge mess for her to have to deal with, but it must have looked wild when she came back into the store to see what was going on!”

“I had a great experience at this store. Steve was very helpful and hands on with me. There is a huge variety of Legos at this store and also the build your own miniature which is a whole lot of fun. Overall there is a lot of options and limited editions too. Recommend paying a visit if you are walking around the mall and likes Legos.”

“Love this store. Had a lot of Strawberry Shortcake things which I'm hooked on. I bought the hair brush, stickers and Keychain. They are always stocked with merchandise and are very organized. Went back today and purchased Napoleon Dynamite tshirt and computer charging station shelf/riser that have gone viral, they only had one left. I went again yesterday Dec. 5 and theyre fully stocked with X-Mas items. Beautifully stocked.”

“Place is amazing! Owner is amazing. Super helpful and professional. We were able to order my daughter’s communion dress in December. Saw it in the window when walking by and knew we had to have it. The woman who helped us ordered in two sizes and she was correct. By the time we went back for pick up in February my daughter needed the next size.
Easy process. Great product. Great customer service and fair prices for good quality dresses.

“Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”
