FDR State Park - Concession Stand offers a scenic and peaceful setting, with open trails and a picturesque lake. However, during peak season or summer weekends, the pool facility can be overcrowded and unpleasant, with long lines, dirty water, and limited outside food and drink options. The concession stand is the main food source, and visitors are encouraged to purchase from there. Despite the downsides, the park itself is a nice destination for a day trip, with the option to rent paddle boats and explore the trails around the lake.
