“When I signed up, I signed up for 08:30 hours on May 24, 2023. When I went to pick up the truck at 08:30, it told me it was unavailable, and I signed up for 08:30 PM, Which in my book was 20:30 Hours. Then the mobile app was down yesterday. Then I saw someone in the store, who would change it for me, but the computer system he needed to change was down for more hours. I was able to leave at 10:20 AM, and the plan was still down. The system returned around 3:30 or 15:30 hours to complete the paperwork. When I picked up the truck, I expected to have it for three days and do 50 miles, and the charge would be $153.00 and that was the hold on my card and it had just less than 3/4 of a tank of gas. I returned the truck 26 hours later, 41 miles later, and filled the car with fuel or $67.02 gas. A different store clerk was there when I returned it and they said since I had it one day, not three, and since I only put on 41 miles and not 50, and since I filled up the truck all of the way with fuel, U-Haul would only charge me $100.97 and I would save $52.00. It was great to have the vehicle, but I think I still need to credit something for fuel; I was only credited for having it back two days early (since it was $31.00 per day), and it was 9 miles less than expected. So, I am thankful for U-Haul, but their system leaves a lot to be desired.”

“Hired a 20ft truck plus some dollies from here through the U-Haul website for a weekend move. The guys in the office were well prepared and had everything ready to go and answered all the questions I had. The truck itself was in great condition. On return I pulled up on the adjacent road and one of the staff reversed it back in and signed it off quickly. It was a pleasant experience all round and I would use this business again.”

“The owner Joe is a stand up guy and knows how to properly balance good business with great customer service. I was in a very overwhelming situation and had an issue with returning the truck on time. In my unfortunate experience of customer service in Carmel/Yorktown/Mahopac, I sadly hold very low expectations when it comes to how business owners/managers treat customers especially when surprise situations arise that cause an issue/interference. Joe however exceeded my expectations in every way.The issue resulting in a late drop off of the truck by 2 days was totally my fault, but Joe being upset and rightfully so, accomodated my mess up with a professional and courteous manner. He most certainly didnt have to be so accomodating but he was.Believe me when I tell you that the level of professionalism and above and beyond customer service was second to none! This alone is worth alot!!I highly recommend!!”

“Very friendly and helpful U-Haul center. We have used a few different ones and this is the best in the area. Some difficulty finding it initially with GPS, so call and ask for directions if you are unfamiliar with the location. Truck was very new and in excellent condition. Staff is pleasant and efficient. Entire rental experience, from booking to return, was smooth and easy.”

“You don't know what customer service is until something goes wrong and someone steps into fix it. Randy knows exactly how to do that. I booked a 16' truck a couple days in advance. Even though I knew we wouldn't need all the space, I chose the truck because I wanted the ease of carrying up a ramp. My friend and I drove the 50 minutes to pick it up early in the morning. We were in a hurry because my friend had to get back to work. When we got there, they informed us there was no truck but that they would have one in 45 minutes. We said we couldn't wait. Randy told us to go back home and he would have a couple of guys bring the truck. A couple of hours later the truck arrived but they had forgotten the blankets that I ordered. Very frustrated now, I called Randy again and he said he was on his way to bring blankets. I told him that was great but my whole morning was wasted. I was supposed to have loaded the truck and gotten on the road. He said he would make it right by helping us load the truck. When he arrived and saw what we had to load he suggested that the truck was very big and that the cargo van would have fit everything. He explained it rode low so it was just as easy as loading the truck with the ramp. Since he had driven a cargo van to deliver the blankets he offered to switch the truck and van out. He then helped wrap the furniture and loaded everything into the van. He went above and beyond to fix the situation and I was quite grateful. I was also glad I didn't have to drive the 16' truck!”

“The guys at Spazz Automotive saved the day! We had a reservation to rent a U-haul from Get It & Go at the Cortlandt Town Center. I had confirmed with the person at GI&G that we would arrive between noon and 2pm to pick up the truck, and he assured me that was fine. I arrived at 1pm and the business was closed. I called the guy on his phone and he said he was in White Plains so he couldn't help us. He didn't even utter the word "sorry." He sounded annoyed and said I should get the U-haul app. Ugh! I was a bit desperate, since the whole day had been planned and coordinated with other people, some at home to take care of my pets, and others at the moving site who were depending on my help.I called several other places and the only one who answered the phone and had a van available was Spazz. The guy there was pleasant and helpful, the van was clean and in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a dependable company to deal with. (Even though the name of the company is a bit regrettable, but also, I must admit, memorable.)”
