Absolutely Unprofessional and Disrespectful — Do Better.
I’ve spent over $7,000 at this business on supplies for a major landscaping project — you’d think that kind of loyalty would be met with even basic professionalism. Apparently not.
Last Tuesday, I stopped in (again), and the staff clearly recognized me — I was told I’d get a “discounted” delivery fee of $70 on a $600 order of stone for my stairs. Still expensive, but fine. I paid cash, confirmed it would be delivered by Thursday, and left trusting everything was squared away. I made it very clear I needed the delivery by Saturday so my workers could continue on schedule.
Come Thursday — the day it was supposed to arrive — I get a call. Instead of confirming delivery, I’m interrogated about who would be unloading the supplies I already paid hundreds of dollars for. Excuse me?
At no point was I told that delivery didn’t include unloading. No fine print, no mention during payment, nothing. And let’s be honest — what kind of “delivery” service just dumps product at your curb without confirming if someone can handle it? That’s not a delivery, that’s a drop-off.
When I explained I needed the materials on-site and ready before my workers arrived, I was met with blunt refusal and an abrupt, rude hang-up from their employee. No apology. No effort to resolve. Just attitude and a clear lack of care.
For a business that claims to value “regulars,” they sure have a funny way of showing it. I expected reliability and respect. Instead, I got confusion, miscommunication, and outright rudeness.
Avoid unless you enjoy overpaying for half-baked service and being treated like a burden instead of a customer.

Uses bait and switch tactics. Spoke to them about getting my husbands machine fixed and they gave me a price in which I agreed to. Then when it's all done, I get a bill that's $2000 more than what I was told. Then he brings me over and points in the book at the price. If he knew the price of the part from the start, why would they give me a lower price estimate? This doesn't surprise me coming from a company who screwed over their own family. If they screw over family, they'll screw over a customer. Go somewhere else.
Now instead of driving in and seeing a beautiful garden center up front and from the street, we get to see ugly rocks and mulch from this company moving forward. If they run the new garden center as they do the back, don't expect any type of personality or help from them. What a shame and loss for the community that this company closed down the personality of Yorktown.

Mediocre materials and the employees have the personality of a rock. Now it's not even worth going to the landscape side because they are responsible getting the employees fired from the Garden Center. Shame, a lot of the community goes there more for the people than the supplies. You just can't get help and knowledge like that anymore and now it's gone. Between Carlos, John, and Anthony, the community's gardens haven't ever looked more healthy and beautiful.
Shame that this guy fed into greed more than the respect and care of Yorktown Heights and the surrounding areas.

Been going to the Garden Center and the Landscape Supply for a few years. Used the landscape supply side recently and the materials that I had delivered weren't that great of quality. I called to share that what I got wasn't what I was expected in quality and was met with attitude. Then I went to the front to buy some plants and heard the terrible news that this company is the reason the Garden Center is getting shut down. Pity. What a loss for the community. I'll be goin somewhere else.

My businesses have bought 10s of thousand os dollars of equipment in that store. Brought my 2 1/2 year old daughter in to buy a new chainsaw. My daughter picked up a roll of orange ribbon and was carrying it behind me as I was waiting for the chainsaw to be brought out. Saul came in asked if I was buying the ribbon and I said No. Saul then proceeded to physically touch my daughter and took the ribbon out of her hand that my daughter was holding. I wasn’t sure if I should physically confront Saul or call the police. The guy is a weirdo creep.

Very poor customer service. The Spanish guy was racist and was only talking to the Spanish customers. Put me on hold for over half hour. Then just to tell me to leave. Don't go to the lawnmower shop..they have no mechanics!

I absolutely love this place! Wonderful quality and selection. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. From the greenhouse to the outdoor plants its just such a great place. They also have a lovely store that's is nice to visit especially during the holidays. It's not just a nursery it's an experience. My kids love visiting the chicken coop, watching the frogs in the pond, saying hi to the cats, looking at the tropical plants inside. They are so family friendly. I then of course come home with more plants than planned. Every time! Lol

The quality of their stuff is good (though the same as everywhere else) but the guy who answers the phone is just dreadful. Told us pavers weren't in stock, we visited the site to look at alternatives and it turned out they did have them he just hadn't checked. At the end of the job we had one pallet left over and asked to return it. He told us we could (for a 35% restocking fee) but then when we called the next day to schedule that return he then said they couldn't. There's too many supply companies around here to be dealing with this poor customer service, so we'd suggest using others for larger jobs where you're not just picking up the stuff yourself (their staff on-site were great).
