We have returned 6 years after our first visit. Going for the full monty this time. 7 nights (7th free).A community resource, United Towns Lions Club. Very capably managed by Todd House, an enthusiastic ambassador for the community.Spectacular setting, on the shore of the Gulf of St Lawrence, with Port au Choix (Portutxua) National Historic Site & Point Riche, very nearby & visible from your campsite.Caribou live here, we had this young fella visit the park our 1st morning.?

Very nice! Obviously, sites in intimacy but magnificent view of the bay, splendid sunsets, and we saw whales there. The person in charge of the campsite came to see us the next day to tell us where to see the caribou that had just crossed the street, then offered to follow him in the car to show us a place, further in the village, where there were often moose. This was the case (3).

A beautiful place with a view of the sea. With two services but a place to drain. In front of Foodland.

Nothing fancy about this park but it's great! The waterfront views are phenomenal! Todd is an awesome, accommodating host with loads of information and suggestions of what to see and do. He told us about a couple towns across the way to see icebergs. Conche had an iceberg like we've never seen! We would have never thought to go over there had it not been for Todd's suggestion. This is an excellent place to plant for few days (we stayed 5 and are glad we did) so you can see what this great area has to offer. Make sure you hike to Phillips Garden and visit with the friendly locals.

Great location on the ocean and steps to Port Au Choix! No laundry, but has hot showers and bathrooms, electricity and water hook

Port au Choix is definitely worth a few days' visit, and this is the place to stay if you have a camper or RV. This is a very nice amenity offered by the local community, so my thanks go out to the citizens of Port au Choix. Campsites are adjacent to the beach. Bathrooms are okay. The real start is the adjacent park area, where we hiked along the shore, saw moose and caribou, and the remains of historic native campsites.

Great view of the ocean. Fire on the beach with a full moon was a bonus.

The views are exquisite! There are some sites with 15 amp power. No sewer or water hookups.

It’s awesome that a small community can offer a lovely little Lions campground right on the beach for a mere $30!! Sites as very tight for larger RVs however. They offer power and water- water pressure is very low - and a sani dump on the way out. Super friendly and helpful fellow checked us in with a map, wifi password and a pen.

Only 2 other campsites in over 40 years of camping come close to this ..beachside spots for everyone, great amenities, and the hosts are the ultimate ambassadors for the area. This spot is exactly what I drove from Ontario to find. Bliss. Photo taken from my spot.

Loved this place! Cheap, clean and amazing views between the ocean and local caribou! Lots to see in and around the area. The friendliest people on the west coast!

This was a great campground that was right on the beach. It was clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We stayed for three nights and spent our time touring the surrounding area and eating in the local restaurants. They only have water and electric but they do have a decent dump station available. There were two caribou, male & female, that hung around the area and allowed me to get pretty close for photographs. We also got to see a moose, our first, along the main road just outside of town.If you go, make sure to take some time to hike along the shoreline. Also, there’s a grocery store right down the street. We’d definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Newfoundland.
