Looked promising at first but stay was spoiled for me and my fiance when we tried to use the jacuzzi. Waited forever for it to fill up because water pressure was terrible and could tell place had multiple plumbing issues, taps were loose and had temperatures that were backwards had to turn on cold for hot.
Then when we finally got in and the jets wouldn't work so had to get out and call the owner Jennifer, who said she never had a problem with the jacuzzi ( even though there is a three year old review I read, thatsays they had issue with the jacuzzi and plumbing)
Jennifer said to "give me a little bit and I'll be down" waited around for god knows how long and tried to call back four times no answer. Finally two hours later she called and said there was nothing she could do and she would call maintenance in the morning. Which was useless to me after paying for a room with a jacuzzi we were very disappointed to not be able to use it after a long drive considering it was a pricey one night stay. no refund or compensation in any way. Room and view were nice but don't expect any staff to help you because there is nobody there in the evening. Frogs were cute though. Also bring bug spray in the summer.

Enjoyed the room air conditioning wasn't working properly. Second night OK but the neighbour's was digging a hole was pretty noisy. Still liked the room.

Received a letter with instructions on arrival despite the reception being busy.
Rooms nice and big.
Beautifully located on the river, unfortunately a lot of mosquitoes.
The continental breakfast was in the fridge. Even the egg omelette was cooled for the microwave.
The staff didn't even say hello.

Skip this hotel if you have other options! No one was present upon arrival. After a long search, someone came to our call and it turned out that there was an envelope for us in an outbuilding. The room was a bit dated, bathroom was spacious and clean. There was a dehumidifier in front of the room door that was continuously humming.
Breakfast is a joke! Coffee machine was broken, apparently for some time because the instant coffee was also gone. Nothing fresh at all, no fruit, just hard-boiled eggs in the refrigerator. By far the worst breakfast we have had. We ate our own bread. It was self-service, no one was there! The employees we spoke to the day before were helpful, management was completely absent.
We do not understand the positive reactions to this hotel at all!
One plus: Beautiful view of the river.

This was an excellent stay for us and our dog. Beautifully renovated and each suite has its own unique charm. River view and continental breakfast were a plus. The room we stayed in was pet friendly at no additional cost. The staff were also lovely and went the extra mile to honour room requests made in the booking, on short notice, at no extra cost. Would definitely recommend this spot and would stay there again in the future.

The room was incredibly beautiful and the view of the river from my balcony was great!Rooms: Can’t say enough about how beautiful my room was. Electric fireplace, separate walk-in shower and bath tub. Private balcony overlooking the river. Just great, and reasonably priced.

Riverview Inn was a very pleasant surprise. Especially the size of the room. The bathroom was very spa like with a soaker tub with jets and a separate shower.The staff was very friendly and helpful!

We were so happy to arrive at Riverwood Inn to see how clean and lovely the whole place is. There is a simple check-in process, which we loved. Our room was called the Riverview Room. It was huge and included a shower and soaker tub. We had our own balcony overlooking the quiet river. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable; we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere – so happy we picked this place. Make this a stop along the way in your travels in Newfoundland!
