Dominion Lake Avenue is a grocery store that offers a mixed shopping experience. While the store boasts a good selection of meats and homemade nacho chips, as well as being the only location to carry Lavazza coffee, it also faces some quality and sanitation concerns. Customers have reported finding moldy or expired products on the shelves, and have expressed disappointment with the poor quality of produce, such as soft broccoli, sprouted potatoes, and mushy carrots. The most significant issue raised is the uncovered olive bar, which was left exposed for extended periods, allowing for potential contamination from various sources, including coughing, sneezing, and dust. The store's pricing has also been a point of contention, with one customer reporting a grocery bill that was significantly higher than expected, costing almost double the anticipated amount. On a positive note, the store has been praised for its selection of unique and hard-to-find items, as well as the helpful and kind service provided by staff members, such as Alisha in the bakery. Overall, Dominion Lake Avenue offers a mixed shopping experience, with both positive and negative aspects. Customers are encouraged to consider the store's strengths and weaknesses when deciding where to shop.
Had the pleasure of meeting Alisha in the Bakery. She took time out of her busy schedule to help us out with some great tasting cream horns. She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we came for. Thanks for being so kind and helping us out.
