Terra Nova National Park is a lovely and very clean park with lots of trails to explore, offering a feeling of unknown seclusion. The Ochre Trail is a favorite hike, quiet and filled with lichen and moss, while other routes like a nice walk along the lake with a waterfall are suitable for all experience levels. The Newman Sound campground is very large, with clean, new facilities, communal cooking areas, fire pits, and power on sites. It is close to the TCH, so there is traffic noise, but it provides great access to trails like the Terra Nova Coastal Trail. The park office is modern with hands-on activities, and the location allows for exploring a small museum, a sandy beach, and nearby restaurants. The park is fantastic for stargazing, with amazing views of the stars and wide angles of the night sky.
Beautiful park! We camped the 3rd week of Sept so it was very quiet. Plenty of bathrooms and showers and are so very clean. The trail to the Pissamare Falls is a must! So beautiful! Our experience here will last a lifetime.

Great place to bring the kids! The touch tank is always filled with sea creatures they can learn about and handle. Off the dock you can see lobsters, fish etc. Nice view from the patio.
