I have been dealing with mizelles pharmacy for the last 15 years and things have been decent however over the couple of years the staff seem to lack compassion and understanding when it comes to their customers. The staff members they have now are not at all pleasant, they often times seem confused and had issues with filling my medications. My most recent encounter with them put the nail in the coffin. I moved to a new pharmacy and now I have a 3 month supply of majority of my medications something that mizelles could never do but they could have because my prescriptions were moved from their pharmacy. Mizelles just chose not to, they would rather have me come there and pay month after month for meds they could have given me a 90 day supply. Take my advice don't waster your time here go ahead to one of the big name pharmacies!

Used this pharmacy for almost 5 years and am a cash customer. Loved the local small town pharmacy feel and customer service until they abruptly stopped carrying one of my more important prescription drugs and didn’t notify me or my doctor that they did so (I filled that and all of my prescriptions with them every single month for 5 years.)Therefore I was forced to return to my doctor and have new prescriptions handwritten to find a pharmacy who had all of the medications in stock.I understand that these things happen however it was the attitude which I suddenly began receiving from them when attempting to complete the transfer to a new pharmacy; I did not leave them they didn’t just “run out” of that medication either; they legitimately decided that they would not be stocking it at all anymore. After years of being a customer I would have liked the courtesy of a call notifying me of this ahead of time.I had two prescriptions with them that had remaining refills; one for a controlled substance and one that wasn’t. I called to refill the non controlled medication and when I did so the person on the phone asked if I wanted to go ahead and get the controlled medication at that time as well to save me a trip. I assumed that meant it was due for refill; it’s a 45 minute trip to them so of course I said sure since it did save me some driving. When I arrived to pick the medications up I was told at the window (with a huge attitude) that it was too early to get the controlled substance filled. Keep in mind in 8 years I never had requested an early refill on any of my medications. Suddenly I was treated like a drug addict (even though I was getting the same medications I had for the 5 years at the same doses.).This particular refill of that controlled substance was actually supposed to be my last of that medication since my doctor and I agreed that I didn’t require it as much any longer and he suggested I use that last refill to taper my dose down.I waited 2 weeks past the medications next due date before calling again (I wasn't even out of that medication until that point.) Now they insist that they don’t have a refill on it at all.Seriously? I just called and spoke with Karen who promptly hung the telephone up on me while I was mid sentence. I wasn’t upset or angry I was just trying to understand how I had a refill THEY wanted to fill (not that I requested early....they suggested I refill it while there to get the other medication) as pharmacists are supposed to be doing during COVID anyways (minimizing trips to the pharmacy.). Then suddenly I don’t have a refill on it at all anymore?I’m very dissatisfied with the way I was treated after being a loyal customer for so many years and spending my hard earned cash in this store. I don’t understand why I was treated this way when I didn’t even choose to leave them as a customer. I was forced to due to them no longer supplying a medication I need nor offering name brand or other alternatives.I spent about $400 a month with them for approximately 5 years (may have been closer to 6.). That comes to over $20,000. I’m so disappointed because this was one of the last true mom and pop pharmacy’s who cared about their customers and now they have been beyond rude to me and I don’t even know why.Additionally I was forced to stop this medication much too quickly and abruptly since I wasn’t able to taper my dose as the physician had recommended. I surely wasn’t going to call and ask him for another refill and have his office treat me like that pharmacy had. I had taken this medication for anxiety for years and it’s recommended that you lowly reduce your dosage when stopping it.

I have had a very bad experience at Mizelle's. The employees do not wear masks and they are very slow to fill prescriptions.

The staff here are wonderful - go out of their way to be helpful. Even though I need more assistance than some might, I am never treated as though I am a bother. I plan to never go to another pharmacy. No matter how busy they are, they are friendly and warm.

This family owned pharmacy is great!!!! I've had nothing but positive experience every time I've been. All of the employees are friendly, kind and very helpful. You are missing out if you use one of the large chain stores.
