Picked up today’s mail and a returned check from December 13, 2023!!!! Wow and no damage to the envelope or anything. Verified the business address to where the check was being mailed and it’s still the same P.O. Box address as always. Asked to speak to so called manager and see had no answers which I expected but whatever. So a check mailed from Albemarle post office going to Charlotte post office got lost from Dec 2023 to today Sept 9th 2025. Wow!!! I asked for some type of reimbursement for a canceled check fee, postage stamp anything but all I got was a slammed door because she couldn’t answer for the 21 month lost check. If only we had more options.

This review is for USPS leadership. The Albemarle office has always been dependable until recently. A new older gentleman with curly hair has started working here and is shockingly rude and unprofessional. He acts irritated to help anyone, speaks with an aggressive tone, and seems to take no pride in his job. It is disappointing to see one bad hire damage the reputation of a whole office. I strongly urge upper management to investigate this issue and take action. Customers deserve better.

Most of the staff at the Albemarle USPS location are professional and helpful, but there's one employee, maybe a recent hire or transferred, older man with curly hair, who has completely changed the experience for the worse. His attitude is rude, dismissive, and aggressive toward customers. It is clear he does not want to be there or deal with people. This kind of behavior has no place in customer service and reflects poorly on USPS. Management needs to step in before more people are turned away.

I am very disappointed with the service at the Albemarle Post Office. During my recent visit, the staff member at the window was extremely unhelpful and rude. My husband had nine packages to send, the window clerk was ugly to him about having to scan each package. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable.
Having worked for the Postal Service in Atlanta for 32 years, I understand the importance of customer service. It's disheartening to see such a lack of support for customers in Albemarle. I plan on addressing this issue with higher management to ensure that no one else has to go through this!!! It will not be the Postmaster who I go to, it will be higher!!!!!

I’ve called twice now about the mail carrier shoving things in my box that don’t fit, causing damage to my items. I’ve had clothes literally tore apart because of it. I surely thought calling a second time would get my point across, but it happened again today. It’s not that complicated to walk people’s larger packages to their front door. I paid for these items, and this location just doesn’t care at all. I guess I’ll be calling someone higher up… clearly can’t depend on this location to solve any issues.

The post master at this location in albemarle Is arrogant and hostile when you question anything about how he run this office . senior community for disabled and he stopped the mail because someone who probably doesn’t live in the community so called threatened the mail lady ,They won’t say what happen only that she was threatened but since they won’t single the individual out I feel they didn’t live here because the mailbox is at our doors and she has to walk it . Could be a play to have to stop walking this part of the route but who really knows . which don’t make sense because like I said this is a 65 and up disabled apartment community. But If someone did threat her then single them out and handle that with the authorities. But no you punish everyone in the senior community , Now every disabled person has to go to the post office to get the mail in which some are not capable and are in danger of not getting the medicine which could lead to hospitalization or even worst. Mr Bias the postmaster said he don’t work for the people and he don’t have to answer any more questions He literally got mad and walked away like I was the problem because after I asked why the mail has stopped I also asked why hasn’t the mail form I put in over and over again not been applied yet because I still get important mail for the previous people that lived here and he said its on me to just throw it away and this is not how you handle mail and I know this is improper handling of mail regardless if it’s certified registered , priority or standard he is wrong for what he told me to do with the mail that’s not mines.. From what I gathered from this visit is that the post master is far from qualified to be in that position . I worked at the post office as a RCA and a city Carrier and went to Iraq , Qatar and Afghanistan to work at multiple military Apos and distribution stations so I do know a lot about post office policy and procedure mainly following the 4525 postal manual which I did read a lot of. It’s people like this that don’t care about the people but put in position to help and think that they never wrong that’s gonna destroy the whole system . When someone over here dies because the Mail didn’t deliver there meds. Literally the worst post master experience I’ve encountered . The post master is why this facility rates so bad he doesn’t want to really help he just there for the job and he placed a class but he has no knowledge on how to run a successful post office . I’m sure there are a lot of bad apples in this office that only can reflect on him and I’m sorry for the workers who are truly there to serve the community but put in this hostile environment because I know with his type of leadership there will be a lot of complaints.. some of the carriers that I have seen are lazy and definitely don’t follow all the drivers rules when on the road or delivering. This quality product all stems from the post master method of operation which is lazy in my opinion and he said he been doing this for ten years. I never wrote so much before but damn his attitude disgusted me by the end of the conversation which he walked away from .

I swear the USPS drivers in this location have to be the worst. They are so lazy they can't even get out of their vehicle to put the package in the mailbox. "No Access to Delivery Location"

Came in for a passport and passport photo. Was told the camera has been broken. They didn’t give me a courtesy call to bring in a passport photo, instead I was told to drive to the Walgreens a few miles down the road. A 15 minute passport appointment has turned into an hour ordeal. My experience would have been better if I was given a heads up to bring my own photo versus booking an appointment that was supposed to provide the photo.

I went to this usps today and the old man that worked there was so disgusting rude. I can’t believe usps would have people working for them like this. It’s insane that people could treat someone so mean and disgusting that they don’t even know.

Refuse to get out of the truck for anything. They haven't delivered packages that were larger than mailbox. They don't leave a note to come pick up at the post office, they just return to sender. Today they were supposed to deliver a certified letter requiring a signature. Refused to do so. Lied about attempt (someone was at home) and lied about making contact with recipient of the letter. They don't care if you get your mail or not. If they have to leave their vehicle, good luck. Worst post office I've ever dealt with.

My packages are never delivered when the tracking says they have been. As of right now, I'm waiting on 2 packages that were "delivered" 10/4 (today is 10/9) and one that was "delivered" 10/6. I'm ok with them being delayed 1 day, but 5?? I'm supposed to be leaving on a trip in 4 days where I was going to be using these items. Now I've spent $$ for basically nothing, as I'm now going to have to buy the items in person in order to have them when I need them. Not to mention paying a higher price. Additionally, trying to get in touch with a live person is impossible. Everything needs to be online, but the website won't load completely for me to put in the necessary information. I'm considering never buying from any online company that uses the USPS for shipping. The mail person that is supposed to handle this is obviously doing a lousy job. Isn't messing with the mail and falsifying information pertaining to it a federal offense? This is not the first time it's happened.
