Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC is a thrift store offering a wide variety of donated items, from clothing and shoes to books, bikes, and household goods like cooking supplies. The store mission is to create education, employment, and life enrichment opportunities. Experiences with the store vary. Some customers find it nice, clean, very well kept, and organized, with fair prices and a constant rotation of new items being sold. They report finding great treasures and good deals, noting that patient shoppers can discover humble, great, and simple treasures. Other reviews express disappointment, stating the store is not fancy and can be somewhat messy, with items like toys randomly thrown into bins. A common criticism is that prices have increased, with many feeling donated merchandise is now priced too high, making it feel less like a traditional thrift store. Some customers feel any special luxury or higher-end items have been removed, so it is not a place to find hidden gems or hidden treasures, despite having nice items and very nice employees. The overall advice is that if you see something, you should get it, as nicer things do not last long.
Super-easy drop off. Try going on a weekday morning when the parking is easier, weekends are a hot mess.

Pretty decent Goodwill. I usually find one or two items per trip. It can be a little overwhelming, but the layout has gotten easier to follow and everything was organized by style and color. I had to wait awhile for an employee to come up from the back to run the cash register, but she was nice.

Some clothing bins unorganized but that’s a part of the fun! #buriedtreasure.
